  1. This was a great video! Your ink blending is beautiful. I struggle sometimes s and am excited to give your few suggestions a try. I like all the cards but I particular love the gold wheat card. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Your backgrounds are fabulous! I do love my Distress inks, but after blending I usually have to blast them with water just to cover my uneven blending-lol. Thanks for an idea filled video!

  3. I love ALL these cards, especially the red with the kangaroos. I loved watching the video, I liked the trick with the acetate.

  4. These are all beautiful. Your ink blending is always perfect. Love the Kangaroo silhouette die – gorgeous!

  5. I love all the things you can do with distress inks and the oxides, too! Super product! Made your cards incredible!

  6. I’m definitely going to try some of these out. I usually just ink blend or watercolor with my Distress inks but I love some of your other ideas. Those birds are so cool. Love the colors. Thanks for sharing your fun techniques!

  7. What beautiful backgrounds and very lovely cards!!!
I love to do distress backgrounds and watercolor my images with the Distress Inks!!

  8. I loved seeing the different techniques. I am going to watch it again and take notes. I tend to do that same things all the time, so this was just perfect. I have been forgetting to even use my Distress Inks…Great ideas, and really, thank you again!

  9. Awesome cards! Thanks for the video! I love Distress Oxide Inks and love blending then spritzing with H20 and also mopping up spritzed color from acetate!

  10. I love my Distress Inks and don’t even have the oxides. I love to blend the colors (usually with a brush) and to use the smooshing technique (because I’m never quite sure what the result will be)! Thanks. This is a fun series.

  11. Beautiful card! I just discovered paper rose this morning and then I see this post featuring their products! Great minds… I adore the Auzzie twist on many of their items (Santa with a kangaroo team pulling it). I will be getting a few of these.

  12. Beautiful blending and cards! Thank you so much for this post.I love my distress and distress oxide inks, but I know I don’t use them to their full potential. I struggle with blending, and your suggestion to use the Strathmore paper will hopefully make a difference for me.

  13. I love your beautiful cards! I really like the ink on the stamp block technique- I’m definitely going to give that a try. I just got back from Australia so these Paper Rose products really appeal to me.

  14. Oh Jessica, it is definitely time to expand my Distress Ink collection and options for how I use them. I tend to mostly blend with them but now that I have seen this, I am going to try some of these techniques in my art journal to play with these ideas. I have to say, I have never heard of this ‘new to me’ stamp company but will definitely be checking them out. Thanks so much for sharing such a great series!

  15. Gorgeous set of cards, Jessica! I really love the one with the red sky and the silhouette of the kangaroo and koala… So pretty!

  16. Love my distress inks. Both the original and the oxides… even though I don’t have “all the colours”, lol, they still work so well for me! Their versatility is amazing… and you made some fab cards with them, too! The third one is a stunner!

  17. I love seeing 5 different techniques in one video! I love the ink blending but am not so good at it (I’ll try your suggestion of Bristol). My favorite currently is using it like watercolors. Thanks for the great post!

  18. LOVE LOVE LOVE distress inks. Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. Great technique refresher and inspired me to
    get blending!!

  19. Great cards Jess, I love this serie!
Fortuitous I had my Distress ink on my desk when I was looking your video. After this I wanted to finish a card for a friend. I used white cardstock in to an embossing folder. After I have made it through my machine I use my blending tool and Distress ink Peacock Feathers to give only the raised areas colour.
That is one of the ways I use Distress ink, I also love to colour images with it.
    Thanks for todays post.

  20. Beautiful cards, Jess! Some great tips – I especially love that you inked the acetate above the die cut for color placement. Sometimes the easiest tips are the ones I really need!!
