Seamless Shaker Valentine’s Day Card with Kristina Werner
Hi, all! Kristina here! Today I have a fun shaker card for you for Valentine’s Day. I used the Slimline Borders stencil to create a colorful ink blended background and then turned it into a shaker card.
I first ink blended the diagonal stripe border on white cardstock using five colors of Simon Says Stamp Ink: Hot Mama, Doll Pink, Hollyhock, Twirling Tutu, and Duckling. I turned the stencil over between colors to make the diagonal stripe alternate.
To make the shaker area, I cut a circle in the ink blended background using the Nested Circles dies, as well as another slightly larger circle out of acetate. Then I assembled the shaker area using the Spring Blooms Mix of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
To finish off the card, I adhered greetings that were stamped using the Love Greetings Mix stamp set.
Be sure to watch the video to see how a seamless background to the shaker area was achieved. Enjoy!
