Crackled, Glittered, & Sprayed Holiday Tags

Hi readers! Happy Thursday to you! I hope your week is going great! I’m so happy to be back on the blog today with guest designer Mona Pendleton with some fun holiday inspiration. You may recognize her work from our Monday Challenge team!

Steps to create a beautiful painted, stenciled and inked background and die cut embellishments.

Step 1:  Die cut shapes using dies and grungeboard.

Step 2:  Apply Gesso to all die cuts

Step 3: Apply texture paste to die cut tag using texture paste and a stencil.

Step 4:  Apply crackle paint to die cut snowflakes. Allow to dry.

Step 5: Randomly spray die cut snowflakes with various colors of Distress Spray Stains. Allow to dry. Wipe up excess Distress Spray with moistened ribbon. Allow to dry.

Step 6: Randomly spray tag with various colors of brown Distress Spray Stains. Allow to dry.

Step 7: Repeat Step 6 substituting with various colors of blue / green Distress Spray Stains

Step 8:  Randomly spray frameworks die cuts using various Distress Spray Stains. Allow to dry. Randomly apply embossing ink followed by glitter. Dry.

Step 9: Embellish tag as desired with altered die cut embellishments, sentiment tag and bow. Randomly spray tag with picket fence Distress Spray Stain.
