Congratulations New Baby

Hi readers! TGIF! I hope you’ve had a great week! Is it just me or did this past week go very quickly? I’m pleased as always to welcome the lovely Lucy Abrams back to our blog as a guest. She made this adorable Congratulations card for new parents! For a fun twist, you could switch out the pink polka dot paper for blue if the card was for a baby boy!

Enjoy!
Flamingo Baby 2 for SSS by Lucy Abrams

Hello. Today I am sharing a new baby card that I created with a brand new Clearly Besotted stamp set called Looking Up. This set has a Father’s Day theme, but I thought the little flamingo in the set would look adorable on a new baby card too. I combined it with a cool sentiment from Simon’s Congratulations stamp set, lovely softly stripy paper from Dear Lizzy’s Fine and Dandy pad, and Lawn Fawn polka dot paper. For some sparkle and texture, I added pink sequins and a baker’s twine bow. Thanks so much for joining me, I hope you have a lovely day.

  1. CUTENESS GALORE – LOVE your card Lucy!!!
… your would not believe how much I have struggled making baby cards, with one just finished tonight. It will end up being one of the most expensive ones in history, as I bought some baby themed papers, my mojo didn’t kick in, so I bought some more, then some more again!!! One day my baby-card-making mojo will arrive back again and luckily I will have plenty of material on hand :)

  2. Lucy!! that’s amazing :) I have a baby shower coming up and I think I might just have to CASE this :D

  3. So cute card. Love the flamingo with the bow, such happy. Thanks for sharing Lucy, your work always amaze me.
