Color Coordinates Recipe

Hi everyone! It’s Shari here with another Color Coordinates Recipe!

Do you have favorite colors that you always go to? I sure do and I’ve put them together in one recipe.

10.24.14 Recipe Color Coordinates

My card is simple, using the colors for my inspiration and a few dies to put it all together.

The Luminary Circles die was perfect for creating a confetti effect for my card, I colored them with inks using the Fantastix ink applicator.

I stamped the heart from the Stitched Shapes set using Coral Reef ink and die cut it using the coordinating dies, Outline Shapes. To finish things off, I’ve added a little Glossy Accents to some of the dots and sprinkled in a few sequins.  I’ve shot a video showing how to create this card, hope you enjoy!

In my video I mention this color combination would be great on a holiday or Christmas themed card, thought I’d show off this beautiful card by the amazing Debby Hughes.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a great week-end!!

  1. Love these sweet pastel colors. Don’t know if I would have thought of using them all together, but they work.

  2. The pastel colours look really great and add a spin to the traditional Christmas colours. Thanks for the idea!

  3. This is a beautiful color combination. I struggle with this myself. It’s so nice to see so many colors that work well together.

  4. I love watching your techniques for working with different sets of elements. Grabbing the little circles with the adhesive on a scrap, for example. And I loved seeing the Fantastix at work! That is so cool! Thanks!

  5. Shari – love this card and how you colored the circles. Simple but really special. Thanks for sharing your talents.

  6. this card is so cute. I would even like it as a gift card made like the top section of your thank you card that has twine around it. In fact, I think I’ll make up a few of these just for that purpose. :-)

  7. Beautiful color combo, Shari. I’m holding onto this one! Must remember to use Glossy Accents more often, too.

  8. I absolutely love this color combo and using the darker colors with the pastel colors. I think these cards are super cute! Love the heart and the confetti sprinkles and sequins.

  9. Love the white background and clean look of the cards! I wouldn’t have imagined those color combos for a holiday card but the result is gorgeous.

  10. I love the look of white on white, using a nice neutral (like fog) to drop shadow, or break it up some, & then splashes of color on top. Beautiful!
