Ali Edwards & December Daily!
Simon Says Stamp is very excited to be a part of
Ali Edward‘s December Daily Project! December Daily is a popular, 25 day, memory-keeping project. It helps you keep & remember items and moments during the hustle & bustle the beginning of December brings!
To get into the December Daily spirit, we thought it’d be fun to interview Ali and have her be in our spotlight this issue!
Where do you look for inspiration when you’re in a rut?
AE: “These days I’ve really been using Pinterest as a go-to when I’m not feeling inspired. I love that there’s lots of different visual things to see: interiors, words, crafts, colors, photography, etc. (and not just scrapbooking). It’s such a huge wealth of inspiration.”
What is a must have product that you find yourself using constantly? (Or wanting to use constantly?)
AE: “Tim Holtz Mini-Attacher. Love it. I’ve also done Project Life consistently throughout 2011 so I’ve been reaching forjournaling cards often as well.”
Who are a few of your favorite fellow designers or blogs to follow?
AE: “Two I’m currently enjoying are Elise Cripe and Lisa Truesdell. I’ve always loved Amanda Soule for her simple, heartfelt life documentation – she’s not a scrapbooker in the traditional sense but she’s a wonderful keeper of memories.”
Can you pass along some words of encouragement for people working alongside you during December Daily or who are thinking of joining this year?
AE: “Keep it simple by just focusing on one story per day. It doesn’t have to be long and it doesn’t have to be Christmas-related. Look at the book as a “whole” vs. any particular individual day – that always helps me keep things in perspective when I don’t feel like I have a lot to say on any particular day. Thanks Ali! We look forward to following along with your December Daily 2011!
