Birthday Love and Hugs
Hi readers! Happy Tuesday to you! I hope you’re settling into your week nicely! We’re always pleased to welcome guest designer Lucy Abrams to the blog and today is of no exception! Today she blends some texture, metallics, and glitter for a special Birthday card that really packs a punch!

Hello. It’s Lucy Abrams here with a sparkly and textured birthday card featuring a variety of Simon Says Stamp and Hero Arts products. I love the Calliope Flourish die and thought it would look really pretty backed with some die cut leaves. I chose Hero Arts’ Spring Branch die, and cut the leaves from vellum for a soft backdrop for my glittery flowers. The sentiment was created with a bit of masking; I used the word ‘Birthday’ from Hero Arts’ Enjoy Today set, and the ‘Love and Hugs’ from Simon’s Sending and Wishing set. It’s such fun to create your own messages in this way!
And the background was created with the Tiny Dots Stencil – I simply adhered it to some Shimelle patterned paper and added white embossing paste. Once dry, I die cut it with the stitched frame die.
