Hello crafty friends, Yoonsun here!

I know that STAMPtember event officially ended, but I still love making projects with the STAMPtember goodies, and I am so excited to share my cards with you on Simon Says Stamp Blog today! Today I made Christmas themed cards with non-Christmas flowers. (Hope you enjoy them!)

1) HOLIDAY CHEER TO YOU

To create the card, I 1) Stamped Leaves Background on kraft paper panel with embossing ink, clear heat embossed. 2) Stamped the large flower and leaves from the Big Bloom stamp set on watercolour paper panel with embossing ink, gold heat embossed. 3) Coloured them with Festive Berries, Mowed Lawn Distress inks using waterbrush and then spritzed with a Perfect Pearls Mist over the flowers –Red, green and gold are traditional Christmas colours, right?! 4) Used the sentiment from the MFT Winter Wonderland stamp set. 5) Mounted all elements as shown to kraft card base using dimensional foam tape.

2) MAGIC OF THE SEASON
For my second card, I 1) Stamped large flowers and leaves on watercolour paper panel with embossing ink, gold heat embossed. 2) Coloured them with Festive Berries, Mowed Lawn Distress inks using waterbrush and then spritzed with a Perfect Pearls Mist over the flowers same as my first card. 3) Added white and gold ink splatters here and there. 4) Mounted the watercoloured panel to white card base using double-sided tape. 5) Embellished with PPP gold and clear sequins.

  1. Beautiful cards. Love the awesome color work, and so clever to use regular stamps for Christmas cards, a good way to stretch supplies. Michelle t

  2. The classic color combo always works great for Christmas, and I’m so much in love with the stitched dies (I owned some of the Simon’s exclusives, they are great).

  3. Beautiful cards. I follow Yoonsun’s blog and her coloring techniques and designs are always gorgeous. Thanks for the lovely project ideas. It doesn’t have to be a “real” poinsettia to be Christmasy.

  4. I love the gold embossing around the flower and then filling it with water colors. I think this makes a great Christmas card.

  5. DELIGHTFUL cards Yoonsun!!!
YOU ALWAYS INSPIRE me, LOVE the flowers, LOVE the colours, LOVE your colouring and LOVE your BEAUTIFUL designs – WOW!!!

CONGRATULATIONS on winning the challenge Kim – SO HAPPY for you!!!
Hope you have a WONDERFUL time planning your SSS shopping spree :)
