Bibi’s Butterflies Collection 3 ways
Hi friends! Happy Sunday! I’m delighted to share this fun set of 3 by Bibi Cameron featuring her gorgeous new collection from Spellbinders! Read on to learn more and enjoy!
Hello there, it’s Bibi Cameron here and today I’m passing by to share ideas using dies from a new collection I have designed in collaboration with Spellbinders.
The collection is called Bibi’s Butterflies and although this is a very feminine collection. for today I have projects with a more organic, bold, masculine look and feel.
Bibi’s Butterflies includes 4 die sets, 1 stamp set, and 1 stencil listed below:
- Butterfly Card Creator Set
- So Many Butterflies Die Set
- Delicate Butterflies die set
- Pop-up Butterfly die set
- Butterfly Sentiments stamp set
- Geometric Butterfly stencil
Timeless and versatile, Bibi’s Butterflies’ main feature is the size of the nested butterflies.
You will find butterflies from 1″ inch to 5″ x 7 ” inches to create projects in many different sizes.
All these supplies coordinate together but they can also be used individually without losing versatility.
The solid butterflies are great tools to make card bases or main pieces for different projects.
You can build up any composition over the large butterfly wings.
Add accents to the bold wings by doing some hot foiling, stamping, stencilling, or simply applying colouring techniques involving any colouring medium you might like…. The sky’s the limit.
From all the possibilities, I used the largest die from the Butterfly Card Creator die set as a base for a die-cut scene.
I applied a simple partial die-cutting technique that allowed me to get that beautiful butterfly shape on the card front.
Then, I made a little scene using dies from the Silent Night Make a Scene die set by Spellbinders.
The little golden stars were made using the SSS You’re a Star wafer die.
For the sentiments, I used stamps from the SSS XL Love Greetings stamp set and Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Those were simply perfect!
Here is a very basic idea to use the butterfly frame dies to create shaped – windows.
I used the same supplies for the card above plus a 2-1/2″ inches die from So Many Butterflies die set, and a square die-cut pice made using dies from Fluted Classic Square die set.
When making the box above, I got a negative butterfly die-cut.
So I quickly put together this tag made using dies from SSS Nested Tags.
I simply used a flower and some leaves made using dies from the Butterfly Card Creator.
The sentiment is also from the SSS Beautiful Butterflies stamp set.
Thanks for having me today. I hope these easy and simple ideas can get your creative juices flowing. Big Hugs X Bibi
