Valentine’s Day is a wonderful occasion to remember your loved ones with flowers and cards.

When I saw the pear image from the Simon Says Stamp Quite The Pear set, I instantly fell in love with it and I chose non-traditional colors to make a valentine card. YES! NO PINK here lol!

My masculine valentine card today, I made watercolor card. For the background, I stamped in VersaMark ink on the watercolor paper panel and heat embossed using Clear embossing powder. I then applied 4 different colored Distress inks – Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, and Evergreen Bough– from the top using a wide brush and then painted the detail of pear images using detailer waterbrush. For the main image at the bottom right side of the card, I stamped the pear using VersaFine Pigment Ink Onyx Black and heat embossed it in clear. I then colored it with Distress inks and applied Zig Wink of Stella Clear for finishing touches.

Wow! Quite the Pear Stamp Set is truly awesome. There are pears, a paper plane, a gumball machine, a cute cat, and even well-matched sentiments in it.  For my card, I wanted to make it in a unique way. Hint? There is something secret hidden inside the square windows!

For the background, I made the white panel using Stitches Rectangles Die and cut 2 small square windows onto the rectangle panel using Stitches Squares Die. I then stamped the pear & heart images randomly using Fog Gray dye ink and then stamped the sentiment in black at the bottom side. For the images inside the windows, I stamped cat & gumball machine in black pigment ink and then colored them with water-based distress inks & watercolor pencils.

That’s not all! You can pull the ribbon and the card turns into lots of great sentiments on the inside. Too cool?! I had a lot of fun creating this design!

To create this card, I was inspired by the story –not the picture- of the oldest (but best) movie ‘You’ve Got Mail’. As you know, Kelly (Meg Ryan) and Joe Fox (Tom Hanks) meet online and begin anonymous Internet romance. So, I decided to call my monsters ‘Joe Fox’ and ‘Kelly’. Hahaha :D

My second valentine card with Monster Hugs is a fun shaker card. Shaker card is very trendy and widely loved technique.

To create this card, I stamped all sentiments included in this set on the white panel using VersaFine Pigment Smokey Grey for making my own background. I then cut a circle window out using Stitches Circles Die and applied strong adhesive to the back of the panel and then placed acetate over the panel. I affixed the mounting tapes with no gaps to avoid my shaker card “filling” might escape through. For the main images in front of the window, I color monsters with Copic markers and cut balloons out of the glitter papers using Celebration Time Die for more fun on this card.

  3. I think everything wrote made a lot of sense. But, what about this?
what if you were to write a awesome headline? I ain’t
suggesting your content is not good, but suppose you added a post title that makes people want more?

I mean Better Together Valentine Inspiration | is a little vanilla.

You could look at Yahoo’s front page and see how they create news headlines to get
viewers to open the links. You might add a video or a related pic or two
to grab readers interested about everything’ve got to say.
In my opinion, it might bring your blog a little bit more interesting.
