Autumn Appreciation

SSS_LF_OctoberCard_detail

Hi readers! Happy Saturday to you! I hope you’re enjoying your weekend so far!  Isn’t this Lawn Fawn card by Chari Moss too cute? If you read our blog often (or lately) you’ll know that I’ve been gabbing quite a bit about my love of the Autumn season, and the colors and cute pumpkins in this card are just so perfect for the season!

I don’t know about you, but I find myself short of thank you cards quite often so I am always eager to find a new design idea!

Enjoy!

Tags are not just for gifts they can make great cards too! This fun little card has lots of paper piecing and the woodgrain notecard makes a super easy card base with decoration built right in.  I like to challenge myself to paper piece projects sometimes with no coloring at all, which is hard for me because coloring is my go to medium.  But paper piecing is great to add lots of texture to images and the Sweater Weather collection is perfect for paper piecing some fun fall pumpkins to create a sweet thank you card.

  1. Love the woodgrain in the pretty blue and white! Really fresh looking card when it’s stamped in white. Adorable!

  2. I have the Lawn Fawn tag dies and I’m always thrilled to see cards by your wonderful crafters using the goodies I already own. Great inspiration guys!

  3. This is such an adorable and fun Autumn card. And yes, using a woodgrain notecard does make it easier by just adding your creations and embellies. Well done!

  4. all the elements on this card came together perfectly. The addition of the blue-green and navy patterned paper compliments the fall colors perfectly.

  5. Great card! LOVE the mixture of dots, stripes, plaid and houndstooth patterns! They flow together so nicely and that little birdie is adorable! TFS!

  6. I love this card! I also love using tags for many reasons, one of which is if I build the majority of my card elements on a tag, mess up or completely ruin it with an ink spill or something, I only lose a tag, not an entire card! Thanks for the inspiration!
    Blessings,

  7. Love the colors and patterns. The chick on top of the pumpkin is adorable. I always color my stamped images, but now I want to try paper piecing. Thank you for the inspiration and the chance to win some blog candy.

  8. Such an adorable card as always! I love the idea of using this paper piecing technique (or challenge for me!) with stamps and dies!
