Art Journaling with Shari Carroll
Welcome to the blog!! It’s Shari here with a different type of Art Journal page. For the next couple of months, I will be adding to this new idea of a Circle Journal. This page started out with Canson Watercolor paper and the Simon Says Stamp Nested Circle dies. I used the largest die which is 5.5″.
I’ve been wanting to focus on some inking techniques and what better way but to cut my specialty papers as I go and give it a try! I will eventually bind these pages together with binder rings to hang in my craft space as a reminder.

The Galaxy background is one I haven’t tried yet. I thought it would be a perfect start to this new year and the new decade. I’ve used regular Distress inks for this one and I’m sure I’ll be trying this same technique with Oxides on down the road.

I hope I’ve inspired you to step out of your box and try a shape journal full of techniques along with me. Enjoy!!

I love your beautiful galaxy circle!
Awesome and I like the shape.
I really like the technique, but don’t think I’d like the cleaning up afterward.
Great idea! I enjoy making journals, but never thought of using my shape dies. Come to think of it, this technique would also work great with the large rectangular nesting set! Thanks for sharing, I will have to add this to my things to try list.
What a cool project!
The Galaxy Background really Looks like it is from out of this world. Amazing !
