Card Kit, Reveal, Monthly Card kit

It’s card kit reveal day and boy do we have a special one for you called Animation! We have a unique stamp set in this kit designed exclusively for us by Uchi Designs. What is different about these stamps is that they become animated when a grid sheet is placed over top and is moved back and forth.

We’ve pack this kit full of items including: a moving gift card slider, 12-4×6” sheets Illustrated Faith designer papers from their Basic collection, 1-Numbers and 1-Happy Things acetate sheet by Illustrated Faith. Our cardstocks include; 2 sheets of Simon Says Stamp 120# White, 1 sheet each of Navy, Doll Pink, and Green Apple. You will also get 1 box of 12 fine line markers by Crayola and 2 exclusive to Simon Say Stamp Watercolor cards by Suzy Plantamura.

Debby Hughes created a beautiful animated card using the flamingo stamp image with a die cut tag. She paired other papers and flamingo imagery to tie everything together.

Yana Smakula used the Cactus watercolor sheet designed by Suzy Plantamura with watercolor paints to create a bright and cheery Spring card.

I cut row of numbers from one of the Illustrated Faith acetate sheets to create a peek through birthday card. I cut out a pair of sunglasses to add above the “3” to denote the birthday age.

  1. I’m disappointed with this stamp set, the size of the papers, and the over all contents. The only thing positive I see is that there is actually 5 cardstock in this one. I’m excited every month for the reveal and I’m sorry, but it was a let down to me.

    1. Sad to say that I, too, am disappointed in this kit. The animation seems unique but the execution in the stamps and the grid line acetate is poor. It was difficult to see the details of the Illustrated Faith papers on SSS web site. Interesting to note that the only IF papers the designers chose to use was a floral, one of three without religious text. Hopefully, next month will be better.

  2. I always look forward to seeing each month’s card kit. This month’s was so disappointing. The animation is not very good. And once you use the animation grid up, you’re left with unusable stamps.

About the printed paper, three of them (floral, numbers, and arrows) are papers I can use. The speech bubbles and flamingos would be better without the words on them. The other seven are totally unusable for me. The butterflies, cactus, sunglasses, and two heart papers are so cute, but the writing in them makes them something I wouldn’t use in my cardmaking. I’ll be passing the kit on to a friend who is Christian. Her daughter might enjoy using it. Though it means that I’ll have to give her a couple of blocks and a stamp pad so she can use the stamps.

The acrylic sheets are a puzzlement. The ones I got seem a bit scratched up. They aren’t something I would use.

At least the lollipop was good.
