Hi friends!! Happy Thursday!! Please join me in welcoming back special guest Laura Bassen for this super fun and celebratory card on the latest edition of Amore Laurafadora, our bi-monthly blog series! To make this clean and simple Birthday card Laura used our Birthday Candles die and Silhouette Sentiment stamp and die set! Add some pretty shaker confetti with our Moonshine assortment! Be sure to watch the video for more information, and enjoy!
Thanks so much for stopping by and thanks to Laura for being our guest!
Dear Laura (and SSS too, but mostly Laura) –
Some thoughts:
1- Love the card. Yes, you are kind of channeling your inner CZ there. Nothing wrong with that!
2- I think you meant “mylar” balloons.
3- You and your husband were consistent. Wow, were you consistent! Spring must be your thing! Please don’t get your ‘innards’ in a knot because I made that observation. ???
4- All those tiny, miniscule paper pieces — the little, tiny diagonally cut parts of candles — you got ’em all back in there at the right spot. Impressive. I would have lost at least 2-3 of them!
5- I’m also impressed at your ability to die cut w/o use of tape. You have the “easy see” tape in the frame but it did not seem that you used it. Love the way you balance little scraps of paper over the dies and don’t use tape. A marvel, you are!
6- Have a very happy weekend! Thanks for the video. I go into a funk w/o enough LF videos in a given time frame.

Laura, you brighten my day every time I watch your videos! You are my ray os sunshine I’m this rain,u, cloudy, Florence,Oregon.
I love shaker cards but rarely make them. So,etc,es I think I have zero imitation! LOL! Great idea to add the extra little piece of flame to the candle. Of course cutting out and putting in those little tiny pieces is stellar. Love your work, dear lady!
