Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by the blog today. Happy Saturday! We’re very happy to have first time guest to our blog, Dana Joy, as our featured artist on the blog today! I just love the happy colors she used to go with the fabulous sentiment from SugarPea Designs. Be sure to read on and enjoy!

This (Kindness Matters) is one of my favorite stamp sets from SugarPea Designs. It’s one that is always within arm’s reach in my craft room. The sentiments just remind me that there are still good people in the world.

I love making cards and sharing crafty happiness on a daily basis with friends, family and even strangers. So recently on a daily trip for coffee and chocolate frosted donuts with sprinkles I decided to make a card for the young lady who gets my order right every single time. She does this with a huge smile on her face and a cheerful hello and goodbye. Well she deserved a little bit of love today. Just that little act of kindness made this young lady’s day. Not only did she break out in a happy giggle but so did I. She ran around the counter just to give me a hug. See, that to me is what kindness is all about. Making someone’s day just a little bit brighter.

Sharing kindness is easy. It’s absolutely FREE to give. Doing this on a daily basis not only makes me feel good, it also does my heart some good too!

Blog Candy Alert!! Follow our blog via email and comment on this post for a chance to win a special blog candy!

  1. Beautiful cards and beautiful sentiment behind them! What a lovely gesture to make to your coffee server!!!

  2. Beautiful cards! But more than the beautiful cards is the important message of your blog post title today. Recently, an Instagram “re-post” showed up on my IG feed. The profanity and vulgarity was deafening. Normally I would just unfollow the person. But for whatever reason that day I decided to stand up and say something. I used no bad language in my response. I told the person to consider themselves un-followed and why. The card crafting community makes it pretty clear that it is kindness that we are trying to spread by creating handmade cards along with a handwritten message – an art in and of itself. The backlash was as deafening as the re-post. I was told “I could consider myself obnoxious.” The saddest part was the number of well known people who gave the re-post a “like” I was shocked, saddened, and troubled. So much so that I have unplugged from IG, FB, and Twitter. I miss my online friends in the card community terribly, but I just couldn’t justify staying in an environment that acted the way many had. My response to your beautiful cards and message today is this: “let the words of your mouth be a benefit to others and may your actions match.” Thank you to Simon Says Stamp for the wonderful products, the good customer service, and the designers that bring beauty to the lives of others.

  3. Love all of the colors, and love the saying. Too bad not everyone in the world practices this…can you believe how amazing the world would be if everyone did.

  4. I love the card. But most of all the message is the greatest of all. What you did to the lady at the coffee shop was fantastic. Thank you have a great day.

  5. These cards are wonderful! I especially appreciate the Kindness comment that Sugar Pea Design made into a stamp. Kindness isn’t always readily evident in our society these days, but we can do our best to show it as much as possible.

  6. Awesome cards…awesome colors. Love how you lifted the two corners…brilliant! Thanks for sharing with us!

  7. I love the sunburst design you used. That is just like Kindness…it will burst forth and spread the more we show it. :) so pretty!

  8. All of your cards are beautiful Dana. I’m not surprised that you gave that young lady a thoughtful card, you are just THAT SWEET! I am sure you made her day!

  9. Love the unexpected dimension…really draws the eye to the fabulous sentiment. Can’t wait to see more from Dana Joy!

  10. LOVE the cards and sentiment! AND I’m very impressed with the
idea behind them. The young lady was obviously delighted too.
