  1. We use old and new ornaments, even though we bought a new tree few years back. Lovely cards Shary, great idea for mass producing! TFS

  2. Love the cards. We use a collection of handmade ornaments plus every year my granddaughter chooses a new ornament for the tree.

  3. Love your design, great for mass production! I use both old and new ornaments on my tree, and now that my daughter is getting old enough to start crafting soon, I’m sure we’ll have a lot of new additions in the coming years ;-)

  4. Traditional (except for the few years I couldn’t get to my usual stuff – I went blue & silver those years)
    Love this card!

    1. Oops – forgot to answer the question. We have a very traditional tree with ornaments collected over the years from places we have been or things we have done – or what our kids were involved with during their school years. Love it!

  5. I really love these cards! The theme of our Christmas tree is ‘random’! We started out with all handmade ornaments but as my kids got older, we just went with what we liked, even if they weren’t handmade. My kids didn’t make any ornaments in school – more artwork than anything.

  6. We use a mix of old and new ornaments, plus photo-frame ornaments that are updated as grandchildren grow or marry. Really enjoyed the video and various techniques and tools.

  7. Great design and beautiful cards! We decorate two Christmas trees. The tree in our family room is decorated with old and new ornaments. The tree is our living room area is decorated with Santa and Snowmen ornaments that I have collected throughout the years.

  8. Love these cards, Shari. I love a tree with ornaments from the past — ones my mother made, ones my son or grandchildren made, etc. They always bring up memories of past Christmases and the good times we had.

  9. Great sketch to make these beautiful cards.
My tree has a hodge podge of ornaments; I’ve never
had a themed tree (unless you count a mini wire tree that we put a 9-ball set of ornaments). :-)

  10. Love the cards – also an excellent way to use those small papers that we don’t want to throw away!
We have a combination of ornaments from when our children were young but add a few new ones each year.

  11. We use really old ornaments we’ve gathered over 55 years of marriage! Two are from our first Christmas after our wedding, some were created by our children when they were young, and one is the linked hand-knitted mittens (later shrunk when washed!) made for me when I was a child — to wear! Thanks for getting me enthusiastic about starting our Christmas cards!

  12. Great card for multi-Christmas cards! Our tree is full of old and handmade ornaments from me & my husband, then for our children, and now for our six grandchildren! Multi-generations! Much fun to unpack each year!

  13. Love your cards, especially the black one. The white embossing powder really stands out. Can’t wait to get the Stained Glass Greetings stamp. As far as my Christmas Tree, it is decorated in traditional ornaments that I’ve collected through the years, as well as some my parents put on their tree. The older the better.

  14. Love these cards — the black and white is so different for Christmas –but really nice. thanks for the video and change to win. we use ornaments that we have collected throughout the years – some over 0years old

  15. For the most part we have had a themed tree but if you look really close you will find some traditional elements hidden in with the themed ornaments.

  16. We use ornaments we’ve accumulated over the years because each holds a lovely memory. Speaking of lovely, your cards are awesome, as usual. Your design skills are beyond fantastic.

  17. I like to use a variety of decorations. Some are old and some are new ones I have made. Some have been given to me as gifts.

  18. I’ll have to choose my favorite Christmas patterns and get started on this. Love the glitter on the garland. Can’t wait!

  19. Beautiful set of cards Shari!! We bought a cheap artificial tree 3 years back when we moved to the US. Previously we had a artificial tree back in India. It didn’t make sense to bring the tree or the ornaments across continents. We might buy a good tree and a good set of ornaments when my youngest is atleast a few years old. Growing up, we had 1 tree and the same set of ornaments for more than 13 years. It was nice :)

  20. Very pretty and easy cards! We actually don’t have a tree, but do make cards and gifts for our Christmas celebrating friends.

  21. Sharri your cards are beautiful. Love the word stamps. We use Old ornaments ones we bought each year to give to them when they had their own tree. But we could not part with them and the kids say they like to see on our tree anyway!

  22. Shari,

Beautiful cards!! They are simple but so elegant!!
We usually put up 2 Christmas trees, one is decorated with all different bulbs, the other is decorated with bulbs we have collected over our years of marriage. We get one new bulb every year with the date. We try to make it a bulb that has some meaning to that particular year, places we have been, etc.

  23. Beautiful cards. We use old and new ornaments. Most of them have been gifts or ones the Grandchildren have made for me. Always brings a smile to my face when I put them on the tree.

  24. I have been collecting handmade ornaments for 35 years and that’s what we use on our tree. Love this card design, Shari. Very happy to hear that you came through your recent health scare.

  25. We got my first tree as a married couple 4 years ago and I made ALL the ornaments for that tree that first year. Since then, I might include 2-3 new handmade ornaments and keep some in the box each year. I love our tree. :)

  26. Love these cards, especially the stamp set and the plaid paper. Our ornaments are a mix of old, new, and handmade. I have a lot and try to get them all on; however, I usually tire out before they’re all on.

  27. Great cards and I love that paper pad. I use a mixture of old and new ornaments. When my children got married I gave them all of their tree ornaments that we collected over the years for them to use on their own tree.

  28. For our Christmas tree: I put crochet ornaments on bottom layer, some with jingle bells on them so that when our dog gets near the tree with her tail we can know when we hear the jingle bells, and then a mix of Hallmark and other ornaments go on tree. Liked the variety of using the different colors for the wonderful Christmas cards. Like the tip of being able to use the MISTI for center placement of the stamped sentiment.

  29. Hi Shari,
We used to use the kids ornaments and old family ornaments. Then I started a themed tree of cats! Now that my children are grown and it’s just me at home, I enjoy all my cat ornaments every Christmas. Enjoyed seeing your process on those cute cards.

  30. I love these cards, especially the designer paper. We always use our old traditional ornaments. Our tree has gotten smaller so our ornaments are select!

  31. We use ornaments that we’ve accumulated since my kids were small. It’s part of the tradition to reminisce when and where each was welcomed into our home. We also add a new one each year. Love the cards!

  32. Great cards, playing with colors is a great idea.
My Christmas tree has the same ornaments for as long as I can remember. I get new ones from time to time if there is an “accident” (living with cats has some “bad sides” – LOL !) But I always try to keep traditional.

  33. What a great idea for mass producing cards!
We use a combination of old ornaments that we have used for years and new ornaments I may have made recently. I’ve been passing the old ornaments off to my daughter family.

  34. Since our kids took their childhood ornaments with them for their own trees, my husnand and I have a themed tree that telks the story of the birth, death and resurrevtion of Jesus. After all, that really IS what Christmas is all about!

  35. Great ideas for changing up mass produced cards. Really like the pine bough die.
I used to put up smaller trees with themes but the main tree has usually been all the collections of ornaments.

  36. We use a mixture of both old & new ornaments & for the past few years our color theme has been red, white & silver.
