  1. We decorate three tress at our house: one is traditional ornaments from the kids, etc., one is all silver and white, and one is all red and green. Thanks for the chance to win. Love your cards!

  2. I traditionally use an assortment of ornaments that my children made for the tree over the years, but this year we will be downsizing to a smaller tree that will just have twinkling lights.

  3. Wow! It was amazing last year!!! Can’t wait to see all her fabulous creations!!!
    These cards are really awesome!!!

  4. Great cards. Our tree is a mixture of old ornaments with a few themed ornaments. My husband purchased me sets of glass mini heart ornaments which we place at the top of the tree.

  5. We have a mix of old and new on our family tree, a small tree by the fireplace that the kids alone decorate (quite humorous when they were little! Never knew you could hang so many ornaments on one limb!) and a “pretty” tree in the entry. But the older I get the less I do!

  6. I love the ideas from the video. Nice way to mass produce cards but with some variety. We use our old vintage ornaments every year…things we have collected for many years. Wonderful to unpack them each year as it brings back so many memories. Thanks so much for a chance to win. Cheers.

  7. We decorate our tree with traditional, family ornaments. Some were given as gifts, some from when I was a young girl, and some that my kids have made. I do, however, have a theme for my wrapping every year!

  8. Beautiful cards and so quick and easy.
I have always used the ornaments that my kids made or were bought for my kids with their name and year on them. Now we get to add in ornaments that the grandkids have made.

  9. Being away from family during the holidays is difficult for military families. I knew that from the beginning. Collecting ornaments from around the world and those homemade creations from our children still adorn our tree today. Our tree is the story of us, our life, and our travels. We are retired now, but those stories live on now to a second generation. You’ve created a beautiful design, Shari. One that can be easily replicated. During the busy holidays that’s what I call value added!

  10. I have a couple of themes we can use, I used to change it up every year, I have one that’s just purple and green with ribbons and bulbs, then I have one that’s just the ornaments from when my kids were little like you do but we haven’t done that in a very long time and the last one which we’ve done for so many years is all of the Disney ornaments we’ve collected since we started taking the kids to Disney in 2002 some are from the parks ( I get several every time we go ) and others are from Hallmark. We haven’t put a tree up since 2014, that’s the year my Mom passed away and I needed to get out of town, a lot of bad stuff went down with my family after she passed away, so when my youngest got home from college in Pennsylvania (we live in Maryland ) and he had a 3 1/2 hour drive just to get home, then we drove the 8 hours down to North Carolina to see our oldest son and his girlfriend, now wife, and had Christmas with them. In 2015 our youngest had graduated from college and landed in the same city in North Carolina as his brother so we went back down there and celebrated Christmas, again needed to get out of town and really wanted to see the kids as well. Then last year we were home since I’d just had my since spinal fusion in October but we were also in the middle of building a new house and everything was being packed so we still didn’t put the tree up, but I did put a tiny tree up on the dining room table but no ornaments :( . We are now in our new house but won’t be putting a tree up again this year because our oldest son and his wife who got married in April 2016 are expecting a baby girl December 21st! And the first grandchild on both sides so we will be down in North Carolina again this year, so no tree for us for the 4th year in a row! I do miss my Disney tree especially since we’ve been to Disney in 2015 and we just got back again a few weeks ago so I have new ornaments to add!!!

  11. Love the simplicity and elegance of this card!

We use my Mom’s handmade jeweled ornaments on our tree. I remember her making them when I was a young girl. She made over 50! What a lovely way to remember her!

  12. I start with traditional ornaments from when my children were small and then fill with anything that catches my eye. Beautiful cards!

  13. I have a traditional tree and a umbrella tree that has white, clear, gold and silver themed ornaments. We have had the umbrella tree so long that people know the theme and gift the tree with coordinating ornaments!

  14. A combination of both most years. Some are old and very fragile. I rotate every other year two different themes.
One easier than the other one! Love this card!!!

  15. We have old ornaments – wooden that I painted when we were stationed in Panama. Kids were small and told me what colors they wanted on each piece. Now 40 years later they are still a part of the Christmas tree. So we made our own tradition.

  16. I decorate my trees differently each year. Some years I use old decorations from when I was a child and then the next year I will use newer decorations. I have collected at least one new ornament or decoration ( usually more then one but don’t tell my partner ) every year for the last 25 years. Needless to say I have an extensive Christmas tree ornament collection. (Love to decorate at Christmas.) I do however use the same large star and an antique angel for the top of the tree .
Love the simplicity of the Christmas cards you designed. Thanks for sharing.

  17. Most of our ornaments were gifts from my grandmother or acquired on our trips. I also inherited some of my great-grandmother’s ornaments. Each year I buy a new ornament to add to our eclectic collection. I love reminiscing when I unpack the ornaments we bought on vacation.

  18. Great cards. We go traditional tree. Last years, ornaments Collected over the years. Although this year we are in Arizona so thinking southwest theme? We’ll see, might not be Christmas enough for me.

  19. We use all the old ornaments too!! I love pulling the one the kids made out and remembering when!! Love your Gorgeous cards!!!

  20. I haven’t had a tree up for a few years, but one will be up right after Christmas. I have a TON of ornaments, so they will be old, and one’s my kids made (they are now 28 and 23)!!

    Your cards are beautiful!!!

  21. I have been collecting antique ornament for years. I do a vintage tree with 40’s and 50’s themed ornaments and a Victorian tree which has some very very old ornaments. And since I am a Christmas decorating nut! I have a little kitchen tree with gingerbread ornaments and a larger snowflake tree. And yes, I start decorating before Thanksgiving.

  22. This trio of Christmas cards is striking. I like your style of cards. We decorate our Christmas tree with a mix of traditional old ornaments.

  23. Great idea for making a lot of cards. I have a themed set of ornaments and decorations I use as well as old ornaments that I will use on my tree. I normally alternate each year.

  24. First, these cards are perfect for Christmas. You could easily make several of them at once. I have a traditional tree. I tried a theme once but my daughters said no way Mom! So I have old ornaments, ornaments they made as children and glass ornaments. It’s a great Tree!

  25. Like your cards. Especially like the plaid one.

This year is a “we’ll see year”. Last year our tree fell three times until I wired it to the wall. Can’t tell you how many ornaments we lost. And when I finally took it all down, many more were broken but hadn’t
fallen off. Teach me to put up a real tree instead of the fake tree. So for sure, it’s back to the artificial tree with whatever I have left.

  26. Love the cards…co pretty. Appreciate that you con get multiple cards out of five or six different papers making supplies go a long way.

  27. I have never used alcohol inks before. Your cards are beautiful! I have been using Nuance powders and love the variations I get with them! I have just started using the die cuts and saw that you use adhesive paper. I need to get some to use. Applying glue to tiny little things is difficult. Thank you!

  28. Now that I am a Grandma inhve little ones that live to play with the ornament. So rather than letting them play with expensive fragile ones, I changed my tree to be a snowman tree with lots of unveeakable ornaments. It is cute – and a wonderful stress free way to enjoy the ornament, tree and kids with no one getting into trouble for breaking an heirloom or expensive ornament.

  29. Love the cards!! My Christmas tree has a glitter name ball for each member of my family and extended family members. We even include family pets! I now have over 45 family balls on the tree and the number is growing each year!

  30. We use old bought or inherited ornaments, lots of handmade garlands, and any that our kids made – even if they are falling apart. We started having tiny trees in each childs’ bedroom that Mom gets to decorate with themed ornaments to match their bedroom.
