Stamped Gift Picks with Michelle Zerull
I’ve discovered a fun and inexpensive way to dress up the holiday gifts this season. Stamped Gift Picks! I came up with the idea recently while shopping for floral picks at my local craft store. I like to use them on my Christmas gifts to make them pretty, but the cost was ridiculous. After figuring the expense of the pricey floral picks, I put them all back on the shelf and vowed to make my own this year. So, that’s what I did!
To create the picks, I chose holiday images from the Styled Woodlands stamp set. To create a multi-colored image, I colored directly on the stamp with Distress Markers. A quick spritz of water from the Mini Mister activates the water based ink and allows me stamp a beautifully clean multi-colored image.
The “pick”, or stick, part was fun to make. The Woodgrain Washi gave it a fun “faux” stick appearance.
There are currently many steel dies on the market to create Paper Bows. Stamp “To” and “From” from the Simon Says Stamp Envelope Sentiments stamp set on the “tail” portion before assembling.
I can make tons of these….FOR PENNIES!
Happy Holidays!
Like the idea of the gift picks. Not seen the woodgrain washi tape before.
