Tammy Tutterow says…Deboss!

TGIF, bloggers! I hope you have had a fantastic week! I am so excited to share this awesome technique with you from Tammy Tutterow! If you haven’t visited her blog before, please, by all means, do so…that is, after you read this one! ;) You will find Tammy consistently has stunning inspirations on her blog!

Tammy made a de-bossed (recessed image) with a snowflake embossing folder! This would be a great technique for a holiday tag or card! Now let’s show you how…

Start with the background stain of your choice. Tammy’s choice was faded jeans. Then mist on Perfect Pearls in Biscotti (don’t be shy to use that mist ;)). Next, use your blending tool to blend in some Evergreen Bough ink around the edges.

Here comes the de-boss… when putting the tag in your snowflake embossing folder, make sure the folder is wide side down so that the image will be de-bossed.

After de-bossing, fill the de-bossed area, and completely cover the tag with Rock Candy Crackle Paint. Use a scraper to get the excess off, leaving the paint inside the snowflakes. Then dry with a heat tool!

For full instructions and assembling of this tag please visit Tammy Tutterow’s blog HERE.

For more fun with debossing, also try Tammy’s slight variation to make this delightfully frosty ornament!

I hope you have enjoyed this new technique idea, and I hope you apply it this holiday season… you will have lots of fun and impress your family and friends!
