Hello everyone! It’s Shari here with a new series. You asked for it, and I aim to deliver! I will be giving you Color Coordinates Inspiration samples that you can try.

Todays colors are nautical in a way but young masculine in another. Honestly, I haven’t tried them all together before. It was fun as a personal challenge.

I created a birthday card by using the Hourglass stamps and coordinating dies along with the inspiration inks.

I die cut the Happy Birthday greeting and reassembled it to reform the sentiment. I used a bit of foam tape to lift up the white panel for added dimension.

I’ve also shot a video of how my card came together.

  2. This will be a fantastic series! Can’t wait to see the next one. The ‘happy birthday’ looks as if it has a glossy finish. Or maybe it’s my monitor?? Love the colors you chose. I can see those pennants as party hats! Thanks for sharing.

  3. LOVE it…and Pinned it for future reference! I have all of the SSS papers and inks now and they are truly wonderful. They have become my go-to inks and cardstocks!

  4. Super fun card. I love the colors you chose and the little pennants that you made with them. Thanks for showing us how you put this card together.

  5. Love this- such a fun card. Fascinated to see how you got all the tiny pieces from the die cut in place. This is going to be a really helpful series. Thanks, Shari.

  6. I am definately interested in this new series! The colors look great together. I also like how you used the die cut along with the foam pop dots to give it depth.

  7. Your technique with the Happy Birthday die is quite unique! Thanks for showing us how to do this! I’m going to try that! Beautiful card nonetheless!

  10. Hi Shari! Thank for you for your great videos. I just learned that I can start with a neutral and build up from there. LOL I reach for color first, always. I love these colors and how they complement each other so comfortably. I always love your great card designs.

  11. Love, love, love the die cut sentiment! I have been doing the die cut inlay technique, but here is yet another way to do it! Awesome! Thanks!

  12. Wonderful card (as usual). Love the curly bakers twine. I’ve done this before with wire but I can’t wait to try it with the twine. The color coordinates series is a great idea!

  13. What a great fun card. Love the twisted twine. Audrey blue is just about my favourite blue ink on the market

  14. I was impressed learning a new technique using the stylus to press the die letters into place. Thanks for the tip; it’ll come in handy next time I use a word die.
