Studio Monday with Nina-Marie: Picket Fence Foil Impressions + Gemini Foil Press
Hello crafty friends, it’s Nina-Marie here with you today featuring a couple of foiled cards using new products I think you will really enjoy creating with!
I am a big fan of foiling with dies, and I was super excited when Crafter’s Companion released their brand new Foil Press machine at Creativation 2019! This heat-transfer foil machine has so much control and provides even heat coverage across its platform.
Note: This Foil Press machine is only compatible with the Gemini die cutting machines, so if you have other die cutting machines such as the Sizzix Big Shot or Spellbinders Platinum, I would recommend you using the Couture Creations GoPress and Foil machine.
I foiled this card with the Picket Fence Peony and Love Foiled Impression sets and Rose Gold foil. The peony is shaded with Copics, and I layered the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves die behind it. There are Distress Stain splatters, with White Gloss and Calming Aqua Nuvo Drops surrounding the floral arrangement.
The second card I made with the Picket Fence Foiled Impressions uses the lovely Thank You hot foil stamp and die; this time I used Gold Shimmer for the foil. Surrounding the sentiment are florals stamped with images from Altenew’s Wildflower Garden set and Distress Oxide inks. Finally, I embellished it all with with Nuvo Drops in Navy Blue, Buttermilk and Neptune.
