LOVE, Forever and Always: Alcohol Pearl Inks

Welcome
I got a set and went to town experimenting on Yupo paper, the results we amazing. The pearls come alive once they hit the paper.

I tried out a color palette that works well with each other and is pleasing to the eye. For this project, I used Alcohol Pearl inks in Villainous, Tranquill, Sublime, and Celestial. I also used regular Alcohol Inks in Patina and Turquoise. I was able to get the colors to move around on the Yupo using Tim Holtz Blending Solution and a lower temp heat tool.

Here’s a close-up to try to capture the gorgeous glimmer. It is even more stunning in real life!! As a note, I was able to get amazing effects on Vellum as well!!! I can’t wait to play some more!!

Bold & Bright Inspiration from Jill Foster & Penny Black!
Hi friends! Happy Sunday! Please welcome special guest Jill Foster back to our blog with three gorgeous cards focusing on Penny Black Products! Read on and enjoy!
This trio of cards features bold, bright coloring paired with neutral backgrounds. Jill’s focal point images are all Penny Black stamps, stamped onto watercolor paper using Acorn Ranger Archival Ink and Onyx Black Versafine Ink. To achieve vibrant painting that really “pops,” Jill used Distress Ink Reinkers as watercolors, simply adding small drops to her palette and painting her images.
With the help of exact match dies, Jill then cut out her painted images. To give her neutral backgrounds a finished look and a touch of texture, she layered white-on-white decorative Penny Black die cuts. The finished results are clean, simple, with a punch of color and spring!
