Be true to your school… colors! Easy Grad Card: EZ with CZ

Hi friends! Happy Wedesday! Please join me in welcoming special monthly Guest *CZ herself*, Cathy Zielske in the latest of our EZ with CZ blog series! Be sure to watch the video to learn all the details on this pretty card and enjoy!!

Hello everyone! It’s Cathy here back with another installment of EZ with CZ and today I’m going to show you the easiest way to create a grad card in your graduate school colors. Just grab a few scraps of card stock, large enough that you can cut some strips from them, and you have what you need to build a cool, simple, grad card.

Of course, a graduation-themed stamp set is needed and I have a brand new one called CZ Design Grad Basics. This 4 x 6 stamp set has some great graduation sentiments, and there are coordinating dies to cut many of them out.
Here’s my tutorial sharing this simple design.

Make Art with Your Found Objects! A Rainbow Vignette with Seashells

Hey there everyone, it’s Nina-Marie Trapani here with another Not a Card project! I’m using found seashells today to create a decorative and colorful vignette!

The seashells are painted with Tim Holtz Distress Paints, which I did as a rainbow. I accented the display with some additional found objects including seaglass and pottery, plus Tim Holtz idea-olgy ephemera and adornments.

This project is best learned by watching the video I have included for you below—in it I take your through the entire process that I used for creating this colorful display piece!

Unique and Colorful Ribbon Designs | Let’s Get Crafty With Caly!
Hi everyone! It’s Caly Person here today!
Today’s cards all use the new Ribbon Quilt dies from the Moments in Time release! I loved using it the first time so much, that I knew I needed to use it again to get creative and make new patterns.
Be sure to watch the video to see how they come together – these were fun and relaxing to piece together!
WATCH THE VIDEO:
My first card uses solid ribbon strands. Each strand is layered with three additional shades of color to create a gradient for interest.
I used the Thank You Text background stamp to add a bit of movement in the background and added the thank you sentiment from the Thank You Basics stamp and die set.

My second and third cards use the Ribbon Quilt dies to create a “chain link” design. Instead of overlapping the two different colors, I weaved/braided them together. This was a happy discovery while I was playing with the paper strips and loved how they turned out. It’s my reason for having two color combinations for this design!
To give it more birthday vibes, I added Party Candles before adding my embossed sentiments from the Birthday Basics stamp and die set.
Each card is embellished with Northern Lights Embellishments.
I hope you enjoyed these projects! I hope this inspires you to play with the Ribbon Quilt dies! There are so many possibilities with this simple die set and it’s sold at a great price point, too! Happy crafting!
