Hi there! I’m thrilled to be on the SSS blog today, with a fun card featuring a mix of new and older Lawn Fawn goodies I used the new stamp set, Scootin’ By, which is one of my favorites from the new release!

To create this card, I started out with a piece of speckled paper from the Spiffy Speckles collection. I cut into it using the Sunburst Backdrop die, and then did some ink blending with Merman ink for a soft blue sky.

Next, I die-cut a road border, and some grassy hills to ground the super cute fox from Scootin’ By! I had him riding a bright red scooter, and dreaming of a friend! The Reveal Wheel Thought Bubble is such a great size, and I love it even without the reveal wheel mechanism.

I popped some clouds in the sky, and a sentiment from Scootin’ By to finish off the card.

Welcome everyone, It’s Shari here! I have another edition of our Funny Friday series with Art Impressions that I hope will tickle your funny bone.

The front of my card features an edge-to-edge shaker with bright rainbow colors. I have to give Cindy Norberg credit for her inspiration and tutorial for this type of shaker. I used leftover packaging from a stamp set for the plastic to cover my stenciled piece.

I’m loving the Art Impressions Pop-Up series and have chosen the Glamour Pop-up stamp and die set for today’s card. This gal is so cute with her furry-lined jacket and wild, flower-filled leopard print hat. I used a piece of the new Simon Says Stamp Rainbows Hologaphhic cardstock for the inside. I love that you can see my little lady’s reflection behind her.

Welcome, everyone!! It’s Shari here with some helpful tips on ways of making Macrame a little easier to work on. Since Macrame can take some time to complete, my main concern was body positioning while working on the project.

After watching many videos of Macrame artist’s work on their pieces, there was one thing they all did in common, they work vertically. I racked my brain for a good temporary way of achieving this and came up with using Command Strip hooks on a blank wall where I can sit on a comfortable stool to work and have the knotting instructions taped to the wall.

Being that this is my first Macrame ever, my weak point was making the leaves, no problem though! I covered some of those areas with Tim Holtz Transparency Wings. This will hang in our bathroom so using the acetate wings with hot glue is the perfect solution!
