Funny Friday with Shari Carroll: Oh Dear!
Welcome everyone, It’s Shari here! I have another edition of our Funny Friday series with Art Impressions that I hope will tickle your funny bone.
I couldn’t help myself, I’m sorry! This gentleman in his recliner and the messages that go with him had me in stitches, and oh dear, we’re talking about bodily functions. This Art Impressions set is called Sit Back Laugh Lines, it’s HILARIOUS!
I decided to make a slider for him as… Ummm… his flatulence could probably scoot him across the room! As he slides across the card, an additional message is revealed. This was super fun and easy to make. I discovered that I can use the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Label dies (second from the smallest) for my slider opening.
I’ve filmed a video of the process. I hope you get a kick out of this as much as I did. Enjoy!!

Throwback Thursday – Summertime Edition
Welcome to another edition of Throwback Thursday—a trip back in time! For each throwback, we’ll be spotlighting fantastic cards and projects using products from previous releases. The new stuff is always SO fun, but think about all of those great products you’ve collected and set aside. They are STILL AWESOME! And we want to inspire you with fantastic inspiration from our creative archives.
A new exclusive Simon brand release is headed your way next week, but today we’d like to share some sizzling summertime designs. You’ll find four inspiring and unique projects created with previously released products from Simon Says Stamp!
First off is this sensational seed bead design by Nina-Marie Trapani:
Nina-Marie created this beautiful and shimmery summertime design back in the summer of 2018. She used our Hibiscus Frame die and the CZ Design Love You 2 die with seed beads! Next, let’s throw it back to this groovy summer gnome design by Nichol Spohr:
The Chillin’ Gnomes stamp set debuted in 2020 in our Send Happiness release! Nichol embossed the images in white and colored with Karin Brushmarker Pro markers. She shared this project HERE on her blog along with a YouTube video on her channel that you can check out HERE.

And take a look at this magnificent floral card created by Sidnie Des Jardins:
The Happy Days stamp and die set by CZ Design released last summer is full of happiness! Sidnie heat embossed one of the sentiments with gold on black and placed it atop her beautifully colored panel using the Floral Mix cling background stamp. You can see Sidnie’s original post on Instagram HERE.

It’s always exciting to see how Suzy Plantamura colors her watercolor cards! In the summer of 2019, Suzy designed a set of watercolor cards called Celebrate Dad, and this fun campsite was one of 12 cards. You can check out Suzy’s blog post where she shared this project HERE.
