Hello and welcome to Work It Wednesday for March 2015!

In case you’re wondering what ‘Work It Wednesday’ is, let me explain:

On the last Wednesday of every month (or towards the end of the month ;)), we want to see what you’re creating! The Simon Says Stamp community is so very talented, and we want to see more of your cards and projects every month.

We thought this would be a great way for all of you to ‘stretch your creative muscles’ and share what you’ve been working on. So we’ll give you a little challenge each month, and you’ll have until the following month to share what you’ve made. Please limit entries to 3 per month.

Each month we’ll pick a few random participants to win a Simon Says Stamp grab bag!

The projects and cards that were shared for February were so great! We loved seeing all of the SPRING themed things you are making!

Do you want to see all of the cards and projects that were shared for February 2015 Work it Wednesday? Check them out!

The following three participants were randomly chosen to win a goody bag from Simon Says Stamp:

Nancy Penir
Creative Cardsea
Joann

Please email [email protected] with your mailing address and she’ll get your prize sent out to you.

Now on to this month’s challenge! We’re going to do a throw back to the basics! Since we are Simon Says STAMP, we’d like to see what you’re stamping right now! Show your favorite new stamp, and oldie but goodie, or whatever is inspiring you to do some crafting now!

Once you’re done creating, share your project below!

Now you know what to do! WORK it! ;)

Sending You Love & Hugs

Hi readers! Happy Tuesday to you! I hope your week is starting off wonderfully! I always look forward to Laura Bassen‘s features on our blog each month, not only because she makes such beautiful things, but her videos undoubtedly make me smile each and every time! Judging by the comments you all post on our features with Laura, I don’t think I’m alone on that!

Be sure to watch this video to get Laura’s step by step using this sweet Slumber Party stamp set and Girl’s Night die set, as well as Stitched Circle dies, Sending Dies, and Holiday shapes dies to finish up the card!

P.S. Laura has a very sweet “guest star” in her video today! Enjoy!

That is One Fancy Cactus!

Hi readers! Happy Monday to you! I hope you had a fabulous weekend and are rested and ready for a great week!  I’m so pleased to be back with the fabulous Chari Moss on our blog today with this cactus that I think is quite fancy. Orange Slice stickles on the hat? Come on! That’s awesome!

Read on for details on how you can make a fancy cactus for yourself!

I thought it would be super cute to give this little cactus from the Stuck On You set a face and a personality.  Of course the “Howdy” sentiment steered me toward the cowboy hat and of course that seems to fit a cactus perfectly.  I also picked the mustache face from the Love You A Latte set because it went perfectly with the cowboy theme.

I wanted to tie in the orange I used on the pot and hat so I used a butternut notecard base then layered some of the blues from the Pint-Sized Patterns Beachside collection.  The sentiment sign is simply a toothpick with the pointed end cut off and I added a few little yellow stars to finish it off and tie in with the star background.
