Coffee and Tea Card Set featuring our August 2025 Card Kit!
Hi friends! Happy Tuesday! I’m delighted to welcome back special guest Heather Hoffman to our blog showcasing a brand new card idea with our August 2025 card kit! Be sure to read on to learn more and enjoy!
Hello! The newest card kit features one of my favorite things – tea! It also fits in some fun coffee theme items, and while coffee might not be my “cup of tea” (sorry! I couldn’t resist!) – I do know a lot of people that love it. Basically, this kit is the perfect blend of both themes! (Okay…I’ll try to stop the puns now! Haha!)
For these cards, I chose some of the fun icons in the pattern paper, and thought they would be fun to fussy cut out to pair with a couple of those fabulous large sentiments from the kit for some fun layered cards.
I chose pretty layers of pattern paper, then die cut them with varying sizes of Squovals dies. I alternated the direction of each one for a fun layered effect, and adhered them together with Big Momma foam adhesive for dimension that kept me from going too completely crazy! The top layer I used white cardstock, stamped my sentiments in nice crisp black Nocturne ink, then added my fussy cut icons with more foam adhesive.
I used some of the Sage cardstock in the kit to create one of the cardbases, and then the Cotton Candy pre-scored cardbase in the kit for the other one. I added some extra texture by using some white cardstock in the Demilune embossing folder, then trimming down slightly to fit between the cardbases and die cut layers. Finished off with a few Dazzling Gems in Clear for the perfect touch of sparkle!
