Watercolor Flowers + Happy Forget-Me-Not Day!
Hello crafty friends! It’s Nina-Marie here wishing you a VERY Happy Forget-Me-Not Day!

What is Forget-Me-Not Day you ask? It’s a celebration of our loved ones! It is celebrated by making phone calls, writing letters, sending emails and cards or getting together with friends and family! It’s a way to let our loved ones – especially those we don’t get to see as often – that we love them, care about them and were thinking of them. I consider that a very good excuse to send a handmade card, don’t you?? ;)
So in honor of Forget Me Not Day, I have a special card and video to share with you that features some of our exclusive Simon Says Stamp products; the Spring Flowers stamp set and coordinating dies, as well as the You Matter stamp and coordinating die… and a few Simon inks too!
This card features a similar technique used for a card that I designed during our recent Believe in the Season release (you can find that card HERE). So many of you asked for a tutorial on how I did the coloring, that I thought I would use that same technique in this card to show how I did it.
In the video I will not only sharing the coloring process, but also other tips and tricks, including a close up look at a new favorite product I am loving: the We R Memory Keeper’s Ribbon Cutter! This cutting tool is not just a special trimmer for ribbons though… it seals the ends of your ribbon as it cuts, which means no more fraying edges! This is one of the products I am most excited about this month, because it always bugged me that my ribbon ends would fray!
So make sure you check out the video below to see all these things and more! I am really excited that you stopped by for this very happy Forget-Me-Not Day! See you again very soon, friends!!

The first card for today’s post is this fabulous and bright stars holiday card by Melanie! This card was spotted on Melanie’s blog and Instagram. We love all that bright bold color for a holiday card! So creative and pretty. It really POPS! Melanie used our Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Stacked Stars die to make the focal point of her card. Please visit Melanie on her Instagram Page or her Blog to see more of her beautiful work.
Next up is another great Holiday card, and this one was made by Char. We spotted this card on Char’s blog. The snowflakes are so pretty and who doesn’t love a card with Simon on it? Char’s coloring skills are awesome! Char used the Simon Says Stamp Exclusive stamp set called Simon and Dexter Christmas, along with our exclusive Stitched Flakes dies. You can see more of Char’s beautiful cards by visiting her blog.
Next up is a perfect example of a clean and simple card. This beautiful trees card was made by Michele. When making a CAS card every element has to be perfect, and she achieved that – the right balance of white space and color. Gorgeous! Michele used our Simon Says Stamp Exclusive stamp set called Explore Nature. You can see more of Michele’s creations on her blog, or on her Instagram page.
Next we spotted this beautiful anniversary hearts card made by Laura! Her rainbow coloring on the inside of the hearts is just beautiful and so artistic! This is a great card to celebrate an anniversary for any special couple. Laura used the Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Stacked Hearts Die to make this card. Please stop by and visit Laura on her Instagram page to see more of her work.
And, we are finishing off with an adorable bear birthday card! Tina made this cute and cuddly birthday greeting and we love her card layout! This bear is really full of love! Caring Hearts Card Drive
The holidays are about family, kindness, and joy. However, during this time many of the elderly who live in nursing homes feel lonely. Wouldn’t it be great if we brought a smile to their face and brightened their holiday season simply by sharing our love of cardmaking? Please join crafters around the world for the 7th annual Caring Hearts Card Drive. Last year we collected over 22,000 cards and distributed them to over 100 nursing homes throughout the world. And we hope to collect even more this year! Please join us. Details for the card drive can be found at: Vera Yates Blog & Jennifer McGuire’s Blog. Simon Says Stamp is proud to be a sponsor… offering a prize to a lucky contributor!
