DIY: Felt Holiday Coffee Cuffs

Hello everyone!! It’s Shari here with some easy DIY coffee cuffs to kick start your holiday crafting.
My family and friends are coffee drinkers… what better gift to give everyone than a cozy coffee cuff… right??
I used wool felt with die cuts and even stencils to create a variety of cuffs. These are simple to make and sewing is optional!
I started with a cardboard sleeve, opened it up and used it as a template to cut out the base layers of felt. For my red cuff, I used Brushed Pewter Distress paint with the Tim Holtz Pines stencil. Once it was dry, I used a hot glue gun to close the seam. I tried my hand at blanket stitching the edges of my brown tree cuff, It’s not a perfect stitching so it has a fun whimsical look to it.
I’ve used the Ho’s dies but you can use any word die for a more of a year round gift. Have fun using your imagination by mixing and matching colors of felts and dies to personalize coffee cuffs for your loved ones!
I’ve filmed a “how to” video which you can watch below or on our YouTube channel HERE!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope I’ve inspired you to get started on your holiday crafting!!

Doodling with Debby: Watercolored Leaf Background
Hi friends! Happy Sunday! Thanks for stopping by today! Please welcome the always amazing Debby Hughes to the blog in her monthly Doodling with Debby series for a special holiday card! Be sure to watch the video and enjoy!
Hi, this is Debby and for my Doodling With Debby feature this month I’m using a small leaf image from the One With Nature set to create a watercoloured background pattern.
On Arches Hot Pressed watercolour card I repeatedly stamped the small leaf from the One With Nature set in clear embossing ink, sprinkled with Antique Gold embossing powder and heat set.
With the pattern now complete, I attached the watercolour card to a board and using Daniel Smith watercolours I painted over each leaf using a palette of green, red, pale pink and pale aqua. The watercolours I used were:
- Green – Undersea Green mixed with Ultramarine Blue to give a beautiful Hunters Green
- Red – Pyrrol Scarlet combined with a little Undersea Green to mute the tone of the red slightly
- Pale Pink – dilute mix of Quinacridone Coral
- Pale Aqua – dilute mix of Ultramarine Turquoise
I dried the panel with a heat tool before I splattered Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine over the top and then set it aside to dry.
For the sentiment, I used the Stained Glass Greetings set and stamped the ‘Merry’ in clear embossing ink on Black card, sprinkled with White embossing powder and heat set. I used the matching die to die cut the sentiment. I also stamped, and white heat embossed a matching sentiment from the set on Lipstick Red card.
I added foam adhesive to the back of all of the elements and then attached them to a Neenah Desert Storm card base. As a finishing touch, I added a trio of Gold sequins held in place with Multi Medium Matte.
Thanks for joining me today and I will see you next time for Doodling With Debby!
