It’s Teresa’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)
Teresa used a mini Stampers Anonymous Etcetera Tag for the base of her woodland inspired scene. She combined Idea-ology products with various Sizzix Tim Holtz dies to create the forest feel of the tag. The butterfly was die cut with the Detailed Butterflies set and the trees with Tall Pines. Distress Ink and Alcohol Ink were used to color the various die cutouts. The tag was completed with some preserved reindeer moss.
Andrea made a tree-covered tag using some great products from Simon: the Small Bottle Brush Tree die set, the Adornments die set for the tag itself, and the Burst Snowflakes embossing folder. She also used Mama Elephant’s Goody Bag Topper die set and Mini Messages stamp set for the tiny tag at the top.
Anna-Karin created a tag in memory of having searched for the perfect tree as a child. The main image comes from Tim Holtz Home For Christmas set and the trees in the background were stamped with Simon Says Stamp Forest Scenery. She also used lots of Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Dazzling Surf and Sprout Gems.
Barbara inspired this challenge from the Layering Stencil Modern Tree by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous. She created two cards using various Ranger Distress Spritz in different shades of blue sprayed on Ranger Black Heavystock. She used Tim Holtz Sizzix Vault Holiday Classic Thinlits Dies and the Tim Holtz Cling Stampers Anonymous Holiday Whatnots stamp set to complete her cards.
Cheiron created a winter scene card using the Simon Says Stamp Feathery Pines Embossing Folder. She colored the scene in using her shavings palette made from Distress Watercolor Pencils. She added splatter using Distress Paint in Picket Fence and Distress Foundry Wax. She finished her card with a sentiment form the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Home for the Holidays Set.
Kath created Christmas home decor projects to gift to friends using Tim Holtz Idea-ology Vignette Boxes covered with Christmas KraftStock Sparkle paper and decorated with Christmas 2024 Baseboards and Transparencies, 2024 Typography, Woodland Tree Lot, Christmas Confections, Baubles Findings, with lots of Distress Texture Paste Opague dusted with Distress Rock Candy Glitter
Macarena instead of trees themselves used Tim Holtz Black Woodgrain Cardstock on her background panel and added shine with Tim Holtz Distress Mica Stain Decayed and Unravelled. She made up a mosaic with Tim Holtz Vintage Labels dies and placed everything on a crazy pink background made with AALL & Create Circle Dance stencil.
Maura created a page in her art journal using Simon Says Stamp’s Two Step Simple Leaves stamps, blending colors on the stamp and misting with water. Some of the inks she used were SImon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Rhubarb, Apple and Fairway.
Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz idea-ology 2024 Christmas Backdrops on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz idea-ology 2024 Christmas Layers and Paper Dolls and Tim Holtz idea-ology 2024 Christmas Sticker Book.
Zoey used the wonderful Tim Holtz Bottle Brush Trees Stamps as main focus of her tag. She also used Holiday Postmarks to add more interest to the background and Christmastime3 for her sentiment. For the background she used a bit of Distress Ink and Distress Mica Stain to add some sparkle!
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!

Emboss It Challenge Winner and Designer Spotlights
We have 3 artists in the Designer Spotlight for the Emboss It Challenge!
#64 Donna Phelan – Emma says: This is such a beautiful and elegant card which epitomises Christmas. The embossed detail is wonderful and I love the soft colour tones of the layered poinsettia against the white background. Fabulous job Donna.
#67 Thom Santilla – Macarena says: This is absolutely brillant project! I love the dimension of the composition and the lovely scene. The white/red/brown color combo is perfect. Love the window covered by snow and the vintage look of the entire piece. Great job, Thom!
#129 Em – Anna-Karin says: The embossed woodgrain is such a great background for the Festive Wreath. I also really like the colors of the wreath, with mainly shades of blue and just a bit of orange and red.
