It’s Lyla’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)
Andrea was thinking of sending an encouraging word or two with this tag that she made using Impression Obsession’s Start There stamp. She also used Mama Elephant’s Globies Grid Cover die set and Studio Light’s Mixed Paper Pad Essentials 161.
Anna-Karin made an autumn-themed card with a dry embossed color blocked background. The Tim Holtz Warm Kraft Stock background was embossed with the Simon Says Stamp Magnetic embossing folder. The leaves are die cut with Simon Says Stamp Tender Leaves.
Barbara immersed yourself in the autumn mood! She made a card with two sets by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Pressed Foliage and Crazy Talk stamps using them with Ranger Embossing Glaze Villainous Potion and Liquid Platinum. For the background, she used Distress Ink Spray Stain Crackling Campfire, Spiced Marmalade, Aged Mahogany, and Villainous Potion.
Cheiron turned an alcohol ink background into a card to let a friend know she is thinking of them. She created her background with Mojito and Sunshine Yellow Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks combined with Gilded Alloy. She added a Simon Says Stamp You are Loved Wafer die cut from Metallic Kraft Stock.
Emma made a card for Remembrance Day, as a tribute to all those who have served our countries. She stamped the chalkboard style background with the Stampers Anonymous Floral Outline by Tim Holtz, before creating handmade poppies using the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Brushstroke Flowers 1 Thinlits Die Set and adding the sentiment using the Alphanumeric Label Thinlits Die Set.
Kath created a card to send encouragement and happy thoughts to a friend. She used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Multi Shifter Harlequin Layering Stencil and Faded Type to add interest on the neutral background. She die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Festive Bouquet Thinlits from Distress Watercolor card coloured with Villainous Potion, Fossilized Amber, Bundled Sage and Forest Moss Distress Inks and used Simon Says Script Hello Shadow die for the sentiment.
Macarena made a textured Miss You card using Tim Holtz Specimen stamp set for the background and Weathered Clock plus Feathered Friends dies as the focal points. She embossed the clock with Ranger Hammered Mixed Media powder.
Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia House of Roses Paper on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Found Relatives and Stamperia Romantic Journal Die Cuts.
Sandra made her final Halloween card of the season and had lots of fun doing that. She used the Script Stencil and the Spider Web die set for bold contrast with the background. She applied Frosted Crystal to her Halloween Paperdoll.
Zoey used the new Villainous Potion to color this tag. She used the Distress Oxide Spray, Distress Oxide Ink…ALL of them! She paired it with Gold embossing and Black Ink. Tod ecorate the tag she used Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps EXAMINATION for the background and Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps MOTH STUDY as embellishments.
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!

We have 3 artists in the Designer Spotlight for the Spooky Challenge!
#48 Monika – Maura says: I love the layered depths Monika has created on her gorgeous card just using stamps. She’s created a beautiful moody background for her Halloween scene, and I especially love the witch and cat flying across the moon.
#125 PaperGlitterGlue – Kath says: I loved how Lucy used Tim Holtz Costume Party Thinlits to make customised figures for the party at her Halloween Dolls House and gave them cute names. The garland of Idea-ology Confections on the mantle is the perfect finishing touch.
#4 My Bonnet Bee Lols loves this spooky halloween card with the monster shadow following the little gir! The background is fabulous and I love the CAS design!
