This week we are welcoming back the lovely Autumn into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!

Autumn made a pair of woodland cards using the Tim Holtz Into the Woods Stamp Set with subtle sparkle from Ranger Mint Chip Embossing Powder and Distress Mica Flakes. She embellished her cards with Sizzix Large Funky Festive Floral Elements.

Andrea made some tree tags with sparkly silver edges. She used Brutus Monroe’s Sterling Sparkle Embossing Powder and Neon Pink Aqua Pigment. She also whipped out the Simon Says Stamp/CZ Design Clean Line Christmas stamp set and added some snowflakes from the Sunny Studio Snowflake Circle Frame die set.

Anna-Karin made two very shiny and sparkly cards. She used Brutus Monroe Simple Blend Heart Stencil and Mask in combination with their Regal Micro Pearls. The card base comes from Tim Holtz’s Paper Stash Metallic 3 Kraft Stock.

Barbara took her inspiration from the Retro 50’s style! Jolly St Nick dies mixed with Atomic Elements dies, both by Tim Holtz Sizzix, are perfect to create this card! She used Brutus Monroe Vintage Sparkle Embossing powder and Brutus Monroe Acrylic BubblesTim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Lumberjack set for her background.

Cheiron created a sparkly snowflake card using Brutus Monroe Fallen Snow Glitter Glaze and the Tim Holtz Sizzix Fanciful Snowflakes and Paper Snowflakes Mini Thinlits dies with a sentiment from Modern Christmas.

Emma created a Christmas card using Brutus Monroe Embossing Powders in Vintage Sparkle, Gilded and Alabaster, blended together to add some sparkle and shine to her cascade of Fanciful Snowflakes.

Kath decorated a Medium Etcetera Tag using the adorable image from Brutus Monroe’s White Christmas and the Shimmer Wreath die from the DieCember release and added an Tim Holtz Idea-ology Half Tree Woodland Finding, Ephemera from the Christmas Sticker Book, Metallic Droplets, Distress Grit Paste and Distress Mica Flakes to add sparkle.

Lols made a Christmas card using new DieCember Simon’s Exclusive Shimmer Snowflake Die , Brutus Monroe Watercolor Galaxy Paper and Sterling Sparkle Embossing Powder

Macarena made a sparkle Xmas scene using Tim Holtz Sizzix Merry Moose hopping above Tim Holtz Sizzix Tree Line die with a lot of sparkle using Brutus Monroe Sterling Sparkle embossing powder.

Maura was thinking how fun it would be to celebrate Christmas on the beach. She made a giant tag using Brutus Monroe’s String Lights and Road Trip stamps, along with his Tangled Waves stencil and Acrylic Flat Bubbles.

Meihsia was inspired to create a card using Brutus Monroe Clear Stamps Brutus and Friends and colored it with Daniel Smith Ultimate Mixing Hand Poured Watercolors and Royal Langnickel Zen Watercolor Brush Set

Sandra made a Christmas card with the Brutus Monroe Glitter Glaze Fallen Snow and Peacock Sequins, and went for a sort of monochrome palette with Nuvo Shimmer Powder Storm Cloud and Infusions In The Navy and Black Knight, and for the bright she used the Star of Wonder die with the Metallic-3 Kraftstock.

Zoey used a mix from Brutus Monroe Pigments in BLUE and TURQUOISE to create this watery background – she also used Brutus Monroe GILDED ultra fine embossing powder and Mermaid Tail to decorate the bells.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!

Spotlights and Winner for Tape It Up

designer-spotlight

We have four artists in the Designer Spotlight for the Tape It Up Challenge!

#4 Cassie Lynch on Instagram – Andrea says: What an absolutely stunning way to create a focal point with tape!  I love how the leaf silhouette was used to frame out the beautiful tape background.  This is a visual feast of shapes and lines and patterns.

#40 Lisa on Instagram – Meihsia says: I truly love this gorgeous project with all the beautiful mixed media embellishments and details. The colors and texture on the background using the lace and tapes are stunning. Such a brilliant design!

#62 RossoPapavero – Macarena says: This is such an original and creative piece! I love the idea of making the background with tapes in a sun shape. Lovely calm male colors and metal details. I like the wire addition, too.

#67 InkyGlimmer – Anna-Karin says: This project reminded me of how fun it is to make bookmarks, and how long it has been since I made one. The tape looks stunning on top of the gel printed paper, and the white splatters really make the whole bookmark shine. I also like the choice of sentiment, perfect for a bookmark.
