Alison was inspired by so many elements of this beautiful mood board, starting with the candlelight and glasses… that’s always going to add up to a candle lantern in her creative world. You’ll have to visit her blog to see these lanterns lit up by night. The altered jars are covered with Tim Holtz Idea-ology Collage Paper – Halloween, which has a few fir-like branches to go with the leafy die-cuts, all prompted by the left-hand photo. The leaves are a combination of Tim Holtz’s Fall Foliage and Leaf Fragments Thinlits by Sizzix, all coloured with Distress Ink Spray Stains and Distress Mica Stains for that glorious shimmer. Design Tape around the top echoes the gold glasses frames, and the black wire handles are inspired by the umbrella frame. There are even some clear raindrops (glued on with Glossy Accents) glistening on the surface of the lanterns!
Andrea made a Halloween tag in tones of black and orange, which were prevalent in the mood board. She used Dina Wakley’s Pocket Squares stamp set and Tim Holtz’s Halloween Whatnots stamp set. She also used Dina’s Dotted Tape stencil and a die-cut witch hat from Tim’s Vault Wicked die set.
Anna-Karin was inspired by the colors, clear surfaces, rain and of course the leaves. She created a clear card with a fall wreath filled with flowers and leaves. The leaves, wreath and flowers were die cut with Tim Holtz Vault Foliage Wreath. The Simon Says Stamp Clear Acetate Card was dry embossed in the Simon Says Stamp Soft Snowfall embossing folder.
Barbara was inspired by neutral colors with a touch of blue, as suggested by the beautiful Mood Board designed by Macarena. She added a touch of sparkle to both the background and the leaves with Ranger Distress Spritz in various colors. For the background, she chose the Spots stencil by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous. The leaves are cut with two Sizzix dies: Leaf Fragments and Skeleton Leaves.
Kath is definitely feeling Autumn in the air and created a whimsical autumnal woodland scene featuring the adorable ghost from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Boo Crazy on a #8 Etcetera Tag and used Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Foliage Wreath, Vault Wicked, Vault Fright Night and Vault Gothic Portraits Thinlits with a spritz or two of Antique Linen and Rusty Hinge Distress Spritz to add a little woodland shimmer.
Macarena is already in an Autumn mood so she made a card inspired by nature using self made circles background with Tim Holtz Distress Paints: Rusty Hinge and Crackling Campfire. She made the composition with Hero Arts Fancy Dies Mushrooms and Ferns and her favorite rosettes from Prima Marketing Red, White and Blue ReDesign Mould.
Maura was inspired by Macarena’s beautiful fall mood board to create an art journal spread. She use AALL and Create’s Hot Drinks and The Story Never Ends stamps, along with Prima’s Nature Academia Ephemera and Simon Says Stamp’s Floating Leaves stencil.
Meihsia was inspired to create a tag using Simon Says Clear Stamps Once Upon a Dream and Memento TUXEDO BLACK MARKER Dual Tip Tsukineko on the background. I then colored it with Altenew Artists Watercolor 24 Pan Set.
Zoey used the newly released SPRITZ to add autumn vibe to her atcs. She also use Cello tape and Halloween Ideaology Ephemera. For added texure she used Mini Bones Stencil and Black Texture Paste
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!

Simon Says: Use Patterned Paper, featuring Stamperia
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Christmas Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to:
Use Patterned Paper
As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Stamperia. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! This week we’re welcoming back the lovely Alison Bomber into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!
Alison created this quartet of collaged panels using the Stamperia Around the World Rice Papers as backgrounds, with lots of Tim Holtz Idea-ology elements layered over them. Frames from Photo Studio and some Paper Strips provide architectural structure for the Paper Dolls to perch on. And the gentlemen are surrounded by various other Idea-ology ephemera – some Gauge Dials, pieces from the Memoir Ephemera Pack and Snippets Number Strips, beautiful postage stamp stickers from Postmarked, and Small Talk word stickers. Ready for an adventure!
Andrea created some of her own patterned paper using Stamperia’s Create Happiness Embossing Pens along with their White Superfine Embossing Powder and Black Embossing Powder. She used some existing patterned paper from Dina Wakley’s Collage Sparks 2 collection and used a sentiment from Tim Holtz’s Thoughts Label Stickers.
Anna-Karin made a trio of autumn cards this week, or rather two cards and a tag. She used Stamperia’s Golden Harmony 8×8 in paper pad for the cards. The cards were embellished with Stamperia’s Forest Leaves and Animals rub-ons and Golden Harmony Pumpkins rub-ons.
Barbara made a tag using a sheet from the Stamperia collection, Voyages Fantastiques, as a base. She chose a skull from the Idea-ology Halloween Layers and Paper Dolls pack as a centerpiece, and underneath it a stamp from the Framed Frights set by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous.
Kath made 2 cards using Stamperia Secret Diary Rice Paper included in Simon Says October Card Kit, trimmed to create backgrounds, die-cut slim frames using Waffle Flower A7 Layers, coloured with Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Prize Ribbon Distress Spritz from the new release and trimmed the images and sentiments from the Rice Paper to create the focal points on the cards.
Macarena made a floral and romantic card using Stamperia Garden of Promises Paper and a bit of fussy cutting. She added dimension by using a rosette made with Tim Holtz Sizzix Vault Rosettes die set.
Maura headed to her art journal to work with Stamperia’s Klimt Paper Pack and Background Papers. She collaged a background with the papers, and Simon Says Stamps Grid Stencil and added marks using Tracy Scott’s Paper Artsy TS085 stamps, then fussy cut the women as her focal points.
Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia Blue Land 12×12 Paper on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz idea-ology PAPER DOLLS MiNi and Prima Marketing Rusty Metal Clips Art Daily Planner.
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
