Tenia is having some fun with this awesome Pinkfresh Studio’s Constellation Stamp Set. So hip and so much fun!!!

Andrea made a card bearing galactic greetings.  She used Inky Antics’ Brave and Good stamp set, Watercolor Galaxy paper by Brutus Monroe, and the Holy Stars die set from Simon Says Stamp.

Anna-Karin created a dreamy galaxy in her art journal. The background was die cut with Tim Holtz Swirling Stars die set and misted with Distress Spray Stains.

Barbara was inspired by the Halloween night. She created a card with a starry sky using for the background Tim Holtz Sizzix  Tangled twigs, Tim Holtz Sizzix Swirling Stars and to color it Distress oxides. In the middle the skull from the set Mr. Bone by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous.

Cheiron created a Starry Night background with Distress Resist Spray and a combination of Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks. She completed her scene using the Tangled Twigs, Witchcraft and Vintage Spirits Sizzix Thinlits Dies.

Emma felt the magic in the air when she decided to create an Mini Etcetera tag featuring the Witchcraft die set against a background created from Distress Oxide Inks, Tangled Webs and full of twinkling stars die cut into the card using the Swirling Stars Thinlit Die.

Kath made a “Wish Upon A Star” card for the girls who love anything gold and sparkly using Yupo Paper, Alcohol Inks, Tim Holtz Falling Stars Layering Stencil, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Dimensional Stars and Alphanumeric 1″ Thinlits and an Idea-ology Paper Doll

Lols made a Christmas Card using a Tim Holtz Festive Scribbles Die Set. For the background she used a Simon’s Exclusive Holiday Background Stamp, White Yupo Paper and Denim and Aquamarine Alcohol Inks

Macarena went into a very colorful card using as a background Simon Says Stamp Stencil Extra Large Dots adding lots of Tim Holtz Sizzix Dimensional Stars and finishing it with a textured moon from Tim Holtz Sizzix Crescent Moon & Stars die.

Maura was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh to create her art journal page, using the Brutus Monroe Mermaid Lagoon Tangled Wave stencil, Paper Artsy Kim Dellow Eclectica3 EKD01 stamps, and the Simon Says Stamp Abstract Triangle stencil along with lots of Distress Inks.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media canvas this week that was decorated with Tim Holtz Sizzix Die Crescent Moon & Stars and Idea-ology Photobooth Vintage Photos.

Sandra is still going strong on Halloween themed projects so she made a spooky view from inside a haunted mansion looking outside, using the Window and Gothic Gate die along with the SSS Holiday Shapes dies to make it a starry night

Zoey used Distress Inks  , Tim Holtz Layering Stencils Stars , Ranger Crackle Texture Paste and of course a beautiful paper doll ti decorate this dreamy Tag

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!

Winner and spotlights for the Cityscape Challenge

designer-spotlight

We have five artists in the Designer Spotlight for the Cityscape Challenge!

#5 Marie-Christine Denis – Emma says: There is something so charming about this detailed and beautiful piece of work and I just loved how Marie-Christine has built up the cityscape in the background to create such a wonderful scene. The colours are exquisite, it’s a fabulous use of Tim’s paper dolls and the whole piece is just stunning!

#6 Metro – Meihsia says: I love this fantastic mixed media card with so many awesome details. Debbie created a beautiful distressed color scheme and great sentiments. The buildings and cars in the city, and the stitches around the card are simply wonderful!

#37 Experiments in Craft – Andrea says: I am so impressed with this craft “experiment” and how wonderfully it turned out! It is a stunning mix of grays and blacks with just the right bit of color. I particularly love the ombre-type of effect of the green tones toward the bottom of the cityscape. It is gritty and vibrant and lovely all at once.

#53 Mylo – Macarena says: This evening city scene caught my eye and I guess it’s due to the great mix of colors on the background and on the buildings, too. I love how Mylo gave color and shades to the houses, they look like there are cars on the street passing by and lighting random parts of the walls. Great effect!

#67 Lynne in NI – Anna-Karin says: Lynne made a beautiful card with a lovely silhouette of a town. The cloudy sky with the moon is gorgeous. I also enjoyed reading Lynne’s story about how the challenge made her think about local buildings.

Congratulations everyone and thank you for joining us!
