Simon Says: Add A Rainbow Of Color, featuring Dylusions Products

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Wedding/Anniversary Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to:
ADD A RAINBOW OF COLOR
As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Dyan Reaveley. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone!

This week we’re welcoming back the lovely Ann Chuang into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!
Ann created this project using a Dyan Reaveley Small Creative Journal, Dylusions Ink Spray, and Dyan Stencil. Create a silhouette of models against a vibrant rainbow background using Dylusions Stencils and Dina Wakley Black Acrylic Paint.

Andrea made a colorful collage using Dylusions Intense Colour Caykes and Sticks. The background is a Dylusions Journaling Tag and the stamped images are from Tim Holtz’s Media Marks 2 and Mixed Media 2 stamp sets.

Anna-Karin made an art journal page for this week, with many colors. The page was done in the Dylusions Small Creative Journal. Shimmer was added to the page with Dylusions Dyamond Dust White Linen. The large sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Stay True.

Cheiron created a colorful background using the Ranger Dyan Reaveley Intense Colour Caykes And Sticks on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. She added some scribbles with pencils, a black Posca pen and some splatter with Gilded Foundry Wax and Black Soot Distress Paint. She finished her card with a die cut from the Concord & 9th Framed Script Hellos.

Emma created a rainbow of colour in her Dylusion’s Small Creative Journal using Tim Holtz’s idea-ology Palette Collage Paper for the background of a double page layout. For the focal point she chose a Photomatic vintage photo and surrounded this with ephemera from the Keepsakes pack and Postmarked Sticker Book before completing the page with alpha die cuts from the Tim Holtz Vault World Travel die set by Sizzix.

Kath made a card using Distress Mini Ink Cubes to create a rainbow background, Dylusions Write Now Small Stencil, Dylusions Black Marble Ink Spray, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Wildflower Stems 2 and Alphanumeric Tiny Type Lower Thinlits.

Macarena used a mix of Ranger Dyan Reaveley Intense Colour Caykes and Sticks Set1 Dylusions and Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Crayons Set4 to paint the rainbow made with Simon Says Stamp A2 Arches Wafer Dies. For the background she used Paper Artsy Seth Apter Printed Tissue pt06.

Maura headed to one of her favorite art journals, Dylusions 8×8 art journal. and created a background using the Dylusions Brush Stroke stencil,, sketching herself, inspired by Dyan Reaveley’s figures, and adding some paint brushes with the Simon Says Stamp Pop of Color stamps.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Ranger Dyan Reaveley Ink Spray Bundle of 7 Dylusions on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz idea-ology Paper Dolls Mini and Tim Holtz idea-ology INDUSTRiAL GEARS Embellishments.

Zoey used Dyan Reaveley Dylusions Longer The Leaf as her main focus on her tag. She also used Dylusion Ink Spray combined with Distress Spray Stain. She also added a Metallic Stickers as Sentiment

It’s Estelle’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)
Estelle created a wedding card featuring an alcohol ink background for a vibrant, artistic effect. The arches were made using Spellbinders Essential Arches Etched Dies with Neenah 110 lb White cards, while the Color Block Accent Arches Etched Dies were used to cut into the alcohol ink background for added dimension. She used a Tim Holtz Runway Bride, stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed using Gold Embossing Powder. She used a Tim Holtz Handwritten Celebrate Die to finish.

Andrea made a bookmark featuring one of her favorite love quotes. It was cut using Gina K’s Beautiful Bookmarks die set. She collaged it using Odile Bailoeul Festival fabric and Seth Apter’s EM124 stamp set and Distress Watercolor Pencils.

Anna-Karin made a card with neutral shades this week. She used Simon Says Stamp Retro Hearts Stamp and Die set for the large heart. The background was made with Simon Says Stamp Detail Pincushion Plate for the background and Layered Bird Bunch for the little birds.

Barbara was inspired by the Sizzix The Park Thinlits Dies and Tim Holtz’s Floral stencil. For the background, she chose a palette of Ranger Ink Distress Mini Ink pads in very soft colors. The sentiment was taken from the Stampers Anonymous stamp set Floristry CMS 485 and stamped on Premium Vellum by Simon Says Stamp.

Cheiron created an anniversary card to celebrate friendship. She created a painted panel using Evergreen Bough, Festive Berries and Blueprint Sketch Distress Paints. She dried her panel and embossed it with the Simon Says Stamp Mid Century Ethereal Embossing Folder and then swiped over it with Simon White Pigment Ink. Emma used a Mini Etcetera Tag as the base of her home decor panel. She focused on love and marriage and used Tim Holtz Idea-ology products to tell the story of the happy couple. These included Paper Dolls, Large Collage Strips, Baubles coloured with alcohol ink and a Salvaged Heart.

Kath created an Anniversary card using Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Palette Teal Collection Papers, Palette Ephemera, Paper Doll Portraits, Botanical Layers, Adornments Deco Frames, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Hearts Layering Stencil, Distress Opaque Texture Paste Crackle and Tim Holtz/Sizzix Handwritten Love Thinlits.

Macarena made an anniversary card with some texture and 3D flowers. For the focal point she chose one of a cute pictures from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Snapshots Volume 2 and she placed it on a black and white background made with Tim Holtz Sizzix Numbered 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder.

Maura made a wedding or anniversary card for dog lovers, using Tracy Evans Beauty Surrounds Us stamps, Simple Stories Vintage Junk Drwaer papers, Tracy Evans Grunge Stencil, and Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Whale ink.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Studio Light Flowers Essentials Die-Cut Paper Pad on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz idea-ology LOCKET KEYS Metal Hardware Keyhole and Tim Holtz idea-ology Paper Dolls Mini.
