Simon Says: Use Your Favorite Tool
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thanks for all of your fabulous entries into the ‘Young At Heart’ Challenge and we hope you will join in this week too!
This week we are challenging you to
Use Your Favorite Tool
What is YOUR favorite crafting tool? Is it a Paper Distresser, a Fuse Tool, a Heat Tool, Die Cutting Machine? We would love to know what is your ‘go to’ tool!
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details of how we made these creations and leave these wonderful girls some comment love
Nicola’s favourite tool is her Ranger ‘Heat It’ craft tool, she used it to heat emboss and to help the distress inks to dry. Nicola used a Tim Holtz Sewing Room Dress Form, Memory Box Cross Stitched Frame Borders and Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders for her gorgeous sewing themed card.
Andrea, like many others, couldn’t live without her Sizzix Big Shot and her Tim Holtz Framelits Tag Collection dies. She also is quite fond of the wonky stitched circles in Simon Says Stamp’s Sparkle and Shine stamp set.
Anna-Karin too loves her Sizzix Big Shot, and also used the We R Memory Keepers Cropadile Corner Chomper Angle on this tag with many tags. Stamps are tools too and different Tim Holtz stamps were used to create texture, such as the Newsprint background.
Barbara always use two tools: Sizzix Big Shot and Heat tool. She used both to create her Etcetera tag with Distress Stains spray and Motivation 3 stamps.
Cathie used one of her favorite tools, the Prima Distressing Tool, to distress some Tim Holtz Thrift Shop Ephemera pieces for her 4×6 burlap panel.
Emma used two of her most used and absolute favourite tools ~ a ruler and a paintbrush, and incorporated them into her canvas panel…combining them with Tim Holtz Paper Dolls and a Vignette Box.
Kath’s favourite tool is her Tim Holtz Craft Pick which she used to create a stitched background with Eclectic Elements thread on a notebook cover embellished with a Plush Blooming Heart and lots of the new 2017 Tim Holtz Idea-ology
Lols favourite tool is her Big Shot Plus, it is her ‘go to’ tool for almost every project. With so many fabulous dies available and having stamps and coordinating die sets it makes creating projects so much easier than having to cut them out with scissors. Lols used a Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs and Framelits Die Set to make a masculine birthday card and a Mini Crazy Dogs and Cats Set to make a coordinating tag.
Macarena‘s favorite tool is still scissors! So she rocked with fussy-cutting of Nature Sketchbook Collection by Graphic 45 and building her background of the canvas with Grit Paste and Infusions giving a final touch of gold with Opal Magic Paint and Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Marker.
One of Maura’s favorite tools is her Prima Water brush that she used to make a trio of heartfelt bookmarks using the Pretty in Pink Peerless Watercolors, and the Joanne palette, and doodled with the Simon Says Stamp Happy Pens Starter Pack.
Meihsia created a mixed media canvas with her all time favorite tools: Faber Castell Gelatos Tool Set for creating the background texture, and Clearsnap Art Daubers for distressing.
Sandra couldn’t choose only one favorite, so she used her top 3 of favorite tools, the Vagabond, the MISTI and the Ranger Heat tool to create this birthday card.
Zoey used her favorite Dies Cutting Tim Holtz Sizzix Butterfly Duo and Texture Treads and Simon Says Stamp Circle Loops Wafer dies to create this art journal mini album
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
