Thom used Tim Holtz Papers, Backdrops # 2 and a Typo Layering Stencil with Picket Fence, Lumberjack Plaid, Scorched Timber and Aged Mahogany  Distress Paint. He also used Dina Wakely Ruby Gloss Spray and added Distress Crayon Scorched Timber on the edges. He used Correspondence Cling Stamp Set and added a stitched piece of Abandoned Fabric. He used a lovely lady from the Photo BoothMetal Frame, some Ephemera and a Quote Chip to finish.

Andrea made a page spread in her Art by Marlene Creative Journal. She created the background with Dina Wakley’s new Squared Up stamp set and School Style Alpha stencil. She popped on some bright pink with Tim Holtz’s Neon Hyper Alcohol Ink.

Anna-Karin loves to make backgrounds and for this card she made a background with layers of watercolor, stenciling with mists, heat embossing and script stamping. She used Simon Says Stamp Fresh Cut Floral Stem for the flowers. Tim Holtz Latticework and Linen stencils were used for the background, as well as Simon Says Stamp Old Letter and Outline Hearts stamps.

Barbara created a tag by making the background with the new Ranger Distress Oxide Ink Mini. She chose the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous I See Paris CMS 099 set, Idea-Ology Paper Dolls, Idea-Ology Theories Quote Chips, and Idea-Ology Sticker Book Postmarked. She used Simon Says Stamp 3D Foam Squares BLACK VARIETY to add three-dimensionality.

Cheiron created a textured background for her Travel Blueprints card using the Arrows Layering Stencil, Distress Embossing Glaze in Salvaged Patina, and Distress Spray Stain in Frayed Burlap. She added some wonky stitching and some Filmstrip Ribbon to bring it all together.

Emma created the background for her layered Mini Clipboard and Etcetera Tag, using Distress Spray Stains and Oxide Sprays. She added stamping to the background using stamps from the Faded Type and Tiny Toadstools by Stampers Anonymous, before adding the Papillon Co-Ordinating Die and stamp set.

Kath used Tim Holtz/Ranger Neon Alcohol Inks to create two bright and colourful backgrounds on Translucent Yupo, matted on to Distress Black HeavyStock panels and decorated with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Artsy Stems die-cut flowers and Idea-ology Label Thoughts and Sentiments Stickers.

Macarena made a Bauhaus inspired card using Paper Artsy Seth Apter Printed Tissue p06 and painted the small squares with 3 colors: red, yellow and blue. She added shapes from Elizabeth Craft Designs Tag Variety Pack dies and Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles die.

Maura loves to create mixed media backgrounds, and added lots of color and design to book paper . She used Dina Wakley acrylic paints like Tangerine and Peacock. She added a Tim Holtz Scribbly Butterfly die, and used Bearly Art Precision Glue (a fave) to adhere the delicate design.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using The Crafter’s Workshop LIGHT AND FLUFFY MODELING PASTE for the texture on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz idea-ology GAUGE FRAMES Embellishments and Tim Holtz idea-ology ODDS AND ENDS Embellishments.

Zoey used Distress Oxide Mini Ink Pads to create her background, she also used Scrollwork and Embossing Clear Powder to create a restist. Ideaology ephemera inked up with distress ink as little decorations and Ideaology Chip Label as sentiment.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
