Simon Says: Tag It, featuring Studio Light

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Hip Hop Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to:
Tag It
As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Studio Light. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone!

Please remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details of how we made these creations and leave these wonderful girls some comment love

This week we’re welcoming the lovely Fiona Whitehead into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!
Fiona made a couple of tags using a Studio Light Nature’s Dream 2 Thistle Clear Stamp. For the background she smooshed Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron Distress Inks. She used Black Soot Distress Oxide to color the edges and added some text from an old dictionary and some twine to finish.

Andrea’s tag features products from Studio Light’s Art by Marlene collection, namely Funky Die Cut Paper Tags and the Postage Madness paper pack. She also used some die-cut stars from AALL & Create’s Galactic Edges die set and some Lindy’s Industrial Chic magical powders to bring this tag to life.

Anna-Karin made a tag with happy colors using the Studio Light Timeless Peony stamp set. The sentiment was die cut with Simon Says Stamp Simple Thanks die and stamped with Simon Says Stamp Thank You Basics.

Barbara created a mini tag album using a Studio Light Tag Journal dies. She chose Tim Holtz Idea-ology Memoranda 8 x 8 Paper Stash 2025 Vault as the background of her tags. She added some butterflies with Stampers Anonymous Clear Stamps and Stencil Flutter, Floral and Trellis.

Cheiron created a tag using a sticker from the Studio Light Colorful Elements Washi Sheets from Art by Marlene. She created some painty layers on a Dina Wakley Media 4 inch Square Tags and added some Dina Wakley Media Paint and Transparency layers.

Emma used Studio Light Paper Elements People and Botanics Grunge Collection to create a scene on a Stampers Anonymous Etcetera Tag. She inked the background using Distress Spray Stains and Mica Sprays before adding idea-ology pieces, including Flourish Adornments and Clippings Stickers to complete her make.

Kath decorated a Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mini Etcetera Tag using Studio Light Grunge Collection 8″ x 8″ Paper Pad, Grunge Paper Elements Frames and Tags and used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Script Mini Layering Stencil from Set 49, Distress Grit Paste with Bundled Sage and Walnut Stain Distress Embossing Glazes to add texture and interest on the background.

Meihsia was inspired to create a tag using Studio Light Ungerwater Party Clear Stamp on the background, and colored it with Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi 48 COLOR Set and Copic SKETCH 72 PC SET D Markers.

Zoey used Studio Light Essential Wax beads and the Hemp Cord to decorate her tag. The stamps are from Spring Sprung and the thinlits are from Wildflowers by Sizzix — clearly recalling the Alice in Wonderland theme!

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
