At this time of year, Andrea likes to express thanks to the people she loves.

I have a friend who, several years ago, set a wonderful example of sending “thankful for you” texts, emails and cards to the people she was grateful for.  It became a tradition every Thanksgiving.  I loved that idea and created some of my own thankful cards to give to those I love.  I made them using a great new stamp set from Concord & 9th called, “Love You Mean It,” another great new stamp set from Reverse Confetti called, “Forever Fall,” and some classic leaves using Tim Holtz’s Tattered Leaves die.

Anna-Karin has a lot of things to be thankful for.

Every year, I try to make a layout or art journal page about big and small things that I am thankful for. The background was made with two beautiful stencils from The Crafter’s Workshop, Mini Falling Seeds and Mini Organic Matter. I used Hero Arts Color Layering Fall Trees and Winter Scene together with Distress Inks to stamp the little forest scene.

The challenge of  this week made me think about the most important things in my life.  For me, certainly the family is the most important.  With this project I wanted to express my gratitude through the colors!! I hope you  can feel this  looking  my work! I used warm tones: Alcohol inks for the leaves, Distress sprays for the  backgrounds. I added  a light texture using a Tim holtz’s stencil Tiles and TEXTURE PASTE TRANSPARENT GLOSS . Happy Thanksgiving Day to everyone!

Cheiron loves everything about Thanksgiving, especially anything pumpkin!

One of my favorite things about this time of the year are all the pumpkin flavored treats that are around. I made this card to give to a friend who loves pumpkin as much as I do along with some treats. I love the font on this Neat and Tangled Everything Pumpkin stamp. I stamped it in Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed it then paper pieced the pumpkin over my chevron background created with the Winnie and Walter V for Chevron set and Distress Inks in fall hues.

There is always something to be thankful for and I couldn’t think of any better way to express my thanks to loved ones and friends than with this piece of home decor that would be in my house for everyone to see. I used Tim Holtz’s flip frame to showcase a layered canvas panel in gorgeous autumnal colours and added the Layered Leaf die as my focal point, together with a scruffy bow in Wilted Violet.

I am so lucky to have a lovely family and lots of fabulous friends. I made this for my Dad who makes sure that all the little feathered visitors to his garden are well fed. As soon as he opens the door the birds swoop down and follow him to the table, they must be waiting for him! I used a Tim Holtz Nature Walk Cling Stamp Set and made the birds nest using a Simon’s Exclusive Songbird Branch Die.

Maura’s thankful for Pumpkin Spice.

Thanks

Pumpkin Spice and everything nice this week! It’s all about being thankful in this little mini album. Not only do I love pumpkin spice coffee, and just may have been sipping some while creating this, but also this sweet paper pack from Simple Stories. One of my favorite things to do with a paper pack is to make a mini album with it, and then the fun starts with the embellishments like pumpkin spice enamel dots and coordinating chipboard stickers.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag for the holiday gift.

Meihsia Liu Simply Paper Crafts Mixed Media Thanks tag 600

Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks and appreciate what we have. I created this tag for the gift to a friend. After embossing the background of tag with Tim Holtz Sizzix embossing folder, I colored it using Distress Ink Pad. The sentiment was stamped with Altenew Thanks Clear Stamp and the leaves were die cut using Tim Holtz Fall Foliage Thinlits die.

Michelle is thankful for easy-to-make DIY projects that look difficult…but aren’t.

DIY Glitter Acorns with Sizzix Die

I have a lot to be thankful for, but day-to-day life takes it’s toll and doesn’t leave me with a lot of time for all of the projects that I’d love to make. These larger-than-life acorns were a breeze to make using the new Stitchlits Sizzix Dies that cuts felt beautifully. To glue the felt, I use Zip Glue! No white sticky mess! The Prima Glass Glitter is one of my favorites and it’s perfect for adding glam to just about anything…even acorns!

I think Thanksgiving is such a fabulous holiday. To dedicate a day to think about what you’re thankful for is amazing. The background of the tag is made with the Woodgrain stamp and Antique Linen Distress Paint. I love the resist effect it gives. I grabbed my first die ever, the Tattered Leaves. Colored those leaves with my fingers and a lot of Distress Paints.

Suzz is thankful that they spend Thanksgiving with family.

I am thankful that we get to spend Thanksgiving with family and that I am not the one up early cooking and cleaning!  We just have to bring a dish to share.  I thought I would show my appreciation to the hostess by making her a Thanksgiving card.  I created a beautiful mix of leaves using the Sizzix Autumn Gatherings and Ranger Distress Stain Sprays (Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade, Crushed Olive).  I added a hint of shimmer with the Heidi Swapp Color Shine – Mustard.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
