Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Architecture Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week we are inviting you to our 13th Birthday Party!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Can you believe that this challenge has been going for 13 years! We’re teenagers! The time has flown by hasn’t it! We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our fellow crafters who have joined us over the years and we hope you will continue to join us.

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous from AALL & Create. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

As it’s our birthday the lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp have generously increased the prize this week to a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! This week we’re welcoming the lovely Carrie Swift aka Reflection Graphics into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!

Carrie Carrie created a whimsical birthday card to celebrate both the challenge, and her brother’s birthday. The Mad Tea Party Stamps from ALL & Create provided a fun focal point and the textured background created from their Weathered Tiles stencil is so much fun. The vivid colors from Ranger Distress Inks by Tim Holtz really brought out the whimsy in this card.

Andrea made a card featuring AALL & Create’s Ornithology Stamp as the focal point. She also used some AALL & Create washi tape to make scalloped borders: Poets and Janet Klein’s Washi Tape Sets. She used Darkroom Door’s Open Circles stamp for the background.

Anna-Karin made a birthday card this week using the pretty AALL & Create Flower Press stamp designed by Tracy Evans. The background is Tim Holtz Backdrops Vol. 5 paper embossed in Simon Says Stamp Spun Sugar embossing folder.

Barbara created a tag using the new Ranger Distress Halloween Mica Stain Collection. At the center, there is the butterfly from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Perspective CMS213, to complete her tag she chose two AAll & Create products: Blushy Washi Tape and Lotza Dots Stencil.

Cheiron created a fun birthday tag using the AALL + Create Starry Night stencil for her background. She used Distress Opaque Texture Paste and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Embossing Glaze and then sprayed her tag with Distress Spray Stains. She finished her tag with a Paper Doll, some Ephemera Snippets and Mirrored Stars.

Emma‘s been told by a little birdie that it’s time to celebrate and she created a card using the AALL & Create Stars and Rays stencil as a background. She combined this fun stencil with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Celebration Colorize die set and the cute little birdie from Cozy Winter, completing the project with a sentiment from Stampers Anonymous Crazy Talk stamp set.

Kath used AALL&Create Washi Tape and the Lotza Dots Stencil with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink and Distress Black Texture Paste to make a colourful background on her card and added Simon Says Stamp Sunrise Stem flowers and Bold Birthday Acetate Sentiment Strips.

Lols  made a card using a Tim Holtz Celebrate Colorize Die Set. For the background she used Brush Arch and Brush Hex Layering Stencils along with Mustard Seed and Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Inks. She splattered with Funky Fuchsia and Lemon Zest Ink Sprays and added some Simon Says Stamp Glitter Cardstock confetti. She finished with a couple of strips of Washi Tape and a Tiny Type Number 13.

Macarena made a Birthday card using for the base background the Simon Says Stamp Stencil Bold Geometrics as a negative, then stamped the background with Aall & Create Elemental Notes stamp set. Then she stamped Simon Says Stamp Leaf Edges on top of everything.

Maura made a fun birthday tag to celebrate us turning 13! She used AALL and Create’s Dashing Crow stamp, the AALL and Create White Lotus stencil, and AALL and Create’s Filigree Washi Tape to make her mixed media tag.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using AALL & Create BAKE IT A7 Clear Stamps on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology LABEL STICKERS THOUGHTS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology ODDS AND ENDS Embellishments.

Zoey used AALL & Create Diamond Life stencil to add a bit of texture in her tags background. She also used a combination of Distress Oxide Ink and Distress Ink Pads to create this bright background. Then she used Tim Holtz Distress Ominous Twilight Mica Stain , Tim Holtz Distress Specimen Mica Stain and Tim Holtz Distress Unravelled Mica Stain to stamp the beautiful Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps Wildflowers.
