Simon Says: Love Is In The Air

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Food/Drink Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Paper Artsy. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! This week we’re welcoming back the lovely Laura Cassina  into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!

Laura created a tag and used a Paper Artsy Mini 122 Stamp and white heat embossed the design randomly over the background. She used and Magenta Infusion Color Stain and added some of Copper Acrylic Paint and a Paper Doll which she is altered to include photo of her son.

Andrea made some tea bag envelopes to put little love notes in. She used several Paper Artsy Infusions Colored Stains, such as Are you Cerise, Violet Storms, Emerald Isle and Rusty Car. She also added some patterns and words using Tim Holtz’s Media Marks 2 and Seasonal Scribbles stamp sets.

Anna-Karin made two artist trading cards this week. The backgrounds were colored with Paper Artsy Infusions Colored Stains and the houses were stamped with the fun Paper Artsy Zini 53 stamp set. The houses were colored with Prismacolor Pencils.

Barbara made a card using Paper Artsy Grunge Paste through the stencil Stitches by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous. To complete her card she adds Tim Holtz Sizzix Lovestruck Colorize Thinlits Dies, Bunny Stitch Thinlits Dies, Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Stitches Stamps Set and Notheworthy Stamps Set.

Cheiron used the Tim Holtz Sizzix Heartfelt dies to create a Mixed Media Valentine. She colored her hearts using Paper Artsy Infusions in Are You Cerise and Sunset Beach . She inked the edges of her hearts with Black Soot Distress Ink, then added a sentiment from the Christmas Cutouts Thinlits and added black, white and Gilded Foundry Wax splatter.

Emma used the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Feathered Friend die set to create a love bird perched against the heart shaped Woodslice die cut. She used PaperArtsy In The Navy Infusions on the background of the Framed Tag before using more infusions, Are You Cerise? and The Sage Infusions to add colour to the Mini Brushstroke Flowers.

Kath created a Valentine’s Day card using PaperArtsy Are You Cerise, Lemoncello and The Sage Infusions with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mosaic 3D Texture Fade, True Love Colorize, Brushstroke Flowers Mini Thinlits, Simon Says Fancy Love die and Love You Greetings stamp set for the sentiments.

Lols  made a circle card using a Paper Artsy Mini 20 Lovebirds Cling Stamp Set and colored the birds with Zig Clean Color Brushes. For the background she dipped Distress Watercolor Paper into Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans Distress Inks and then used a Carabelle Studio Constellation Stencil and Mowed Lawn Ink. She added a Simon Says Stamp Winsome Branch, some Tim Holtz Design Tape and Sentiment Label Sticker to finish.

Macarena make a mechanical kind of a love card using Paper Artsy Infusions and Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stamp sets: Dapper, Inventor 7, Faded Type. The focal point are Tim Holtz Sizzix Lovestruck dies.

Maura made a cheery tag filled with love using Paper Artsy’s Eclectica3 Gwen Lafleur cling stamp set, their Jofy Mini 20 Lovebirds Stamp, and the Paper Artsy Mini 109 Quote stamp.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Studio Light MY GIRLS Clear Stamps ABM Mixed-Up Collection on the background, and decorated it with Paper Artsy JOFY MINI 20 Lovebirds Rubber Cling Stamp and Simon Says Stamp SENTIMENT STRIPS CHEEKY LOVE.

Zoey used Paper Arsty Green Man Infusions to add color to her background. She also used Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 28 to add texture to her tag and Tim Holtz Sizzix Wood Slice to decorate it.
