This week we are welcoming the lovely Monica aka My Bonnet Bee into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!

Monica made a card using the Studio Light Blok Build Up Cardshape Essentials Dies and Studio Light If Kisses Were Stars Moon Flower Clear Stamp Set. She used Peacock FeathersMermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Inks for the background then used a White Gel Pen to add some stars. She made some tiny holes and attached Tim Holtz Clear Tiny Lights to light up the sky and used Moon Mask Stencils to make a moon and attached it on the top of the card using a thin clear line. She finished by adding a sentiment from a Studio Light How Many Nights Moon Flower Clear Stamp Set.

Andrea made a tag book where she could jot down a few goals for 2023. She used Studio Light’s Zig Zag Journal die set, Studio Light’s Writing Background Elements die set, and Studio Light’s Script and Stitches stamp set.

Anna-Karin made a bright and cheerful art journal page using Studio Light Wildflowers and Wanderlust stamp sets. The page was done in Dina Wakley’s Blue Edition Media Journal and the flowers and background were colored with Distress Watercolor Pencils.

Cheiron is lighting up a friend’s mailbox in the New Year by sending this motivational card. She used Studio Light Floral Quartet Stencil along with her Gel Press plate to create a fun painty background. She added some stamping with the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Ledger Script stamps and Distress Archival Ink and a die cut sentiment from the Bold Text 2 dies.

Emma lit up the new year by creating a tag and added Tim Holtz’s Tiny Lights so that it shone brightly. Her make was inspired by her hometown of London, and she used Harvey Colorize Thinlits Die Set and the Christmas Vault Series Dies as the main focal point, placing him on a background that uses the Studio Light Wallpaper Pattern Essentials Stencil to create a faux enamelled backdrop.

Kath used Studio Light Winter Garden Neutrals Paper Pad and die-cut elements to make “light up the new year” thank you cards for friends and used Simon Says Full Of Thanks stamp set for the sentiments.

Lols made a card and matching envelope using a Studio Light Industrial Vintage Treasures Die and a Letters and Texture Grunge Stencil. For the background she blended a selection of Distress Oxide Inks before stencilling the design and splattering with Dylusions Ink Sprays. She added a torn strip of Vellum and finished with a Tim Holtz Sentiment Sticker.

Macarena made an industrial card using Tim Holtz Inventor 7, Glitch and The Professor stamps set for the background and bulbs. She colored everything with Distress Oxide Inks.

Maura is celebrating the light of nature with her Simon Says Stamp Slimline card. She used Studio Light’s Cozy Lanterns stamp set, Studio Light’s Out of This World Paper Elements and Simon Says Stamp’s Fir Branches die.

Meihsia was inspired to create a simple and bright card using Studio Light FAIRYTALE Glitter Paper Essentials on the background. I stamped the leave image using Studio Light SHADES OF GREEN Ink Pads and  decorated it with the sentiment stickers from Tim Holtz Idea-ology CLIPPINGS Sticker Book.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
