It’s Susanne’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)
Susanne made a Halloween card for this week’s challenge. She used Tim Holtz Pumpkin patch dies and some stencils from Tim Holtz; Decayed, Mini set 17 and Mini set 23. For the texture she used Distress Texture Paste and some Frosted crystal Embossing powder.
Andrea created texture on her three tag notebooks using layers of ripped paper. She used Simon’s The Neighborhood Wafer Dies, Simon’s Printmaking Houses clear stamps, Jane Davenport’s Brights watercolor set and Ranger’s No. 8 Kraft Tags.
Anna-Karin made an autumn card with lots of texture. The background was done with the Simon Says Stamp Stained Glass Background stamp. Texture was also added by dry embossing the sentiment panel with Tim Holtz Mini Foundry 3-D embossing folder.
Barbara created a trio of tags adding three different kinds of textures! She used Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Halloween Texture Set (Grave), Ranger Texture Paste Transparent Gloss, and Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Halloween Sparkle Set ( Mica Flakes Midnight). To complete the tags she added stamps from two Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous sets Dearly Departed – Mr. Bones and Idea-ology Paper Dolls.
Cheiron created a texture-y snowman using Tim Holtz Sizzix Mr. Frost and some textured foam from her stash, and some Sizzix Festive felt sheets. She mounted him on a panel of Distress Texture Paste snowflakes created with the Snowflakes layering stencil. To finish her card she added the Joy sentiment from the Festive Words thinlits cut from Metallic Kraft Stock.
Emma created an abundance of texture on her Halloween Vignette Tray by using the Mini Foundry 3D Embossing Folder on the outside of the box. She then added even more texture with Tim Holtz Crackle Paste, Translucent Grit Paste and Mummy Cloth Trimmings, all of which surround the main focal point of The Count standing against the Cathedral Window.
Kath created a Christmas scene in her Dylusions Black Creative Journal using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Woodland Santa, Tall Pines and Alphanumeric Varsity Thinlits, die-cut from Sizzix Felt and used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Woodland and Speckles Layering Stencils with Distress Grit Paste to add more texture.
Macarena gave a texture to this romantic wedding card by using Tim Holtz Sizzix Kaleidoscope 3D Texture folder for the background and a lovely giant Grungy Frame mould by Prima Marketing.
Maura was inspired by a painting at an art show to create in her art journal. She used AALL and Create’s Basic Veggies set, Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Tiny Toadstools set, Simon Says Stamp’s Old Letter stamp, and lots of fall colors.
Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media Halloween tag using the Crafter’s Workshop White Modeling Paste on the background for the texture, and decorated the tag with Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Halloween Paper Doll and Ephemera Pack.
Sandra added textured dimension with the Wings and Bones Mould set on top of the bug from Specimen stamp set. She also added texture with the Spider Web die.
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
