Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the  Easter/Spring Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week we are challenging you to

LAYER IT

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Tim Holtz. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! This week we are welcoming the lovely  Autumn aka SewPaperPaint into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!

Autumn created a spring greeting with the Tim Holtz Brushstroke Flowers 2 dies with Botanical Layers Ideaology on a stamped background made with the Fragments stamp set.

Anna-Karin made an art journal page this week, adding layers with paint stamping and stenciling. She used Tim Holtz Gradient Dot stencil together with Distress Texture Paste. The birds are from Tim Holtz Feathered Friends set.

Cheiron created a fun layered tag using a monoprint she made with the Stampers Anonymous Ringer Stencil. She layered Tim Holtz Entomology Collage Paper, Transparent Wings and a Paper Doll. She finished her tag with some Clippings stickers and a number from the Sizzix Countdown Thinlits dies.

When it comes to layers, Emma was in her element and from start to finish, she added layer upon layer of Tim Holtz products to create her vintage style panel, which includes a resist technique background using Distress Paint and Distress Spray Stains, a layer of die cut Mechanical gears and finishing with a vintage Photo Booth image, layered behind a Stencil Chip.

Kath created layers on her Dina Wakley Media Journal page using Distress Paints, Idea-ology Typography, Entomology and Botanical Collage Papers, Distress Crackle Texture Paste with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mosaic Mini Layering Stencil and Halftone and Rings stamp set. She also added layers of  the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Brushstroke Flowers 3 Thinlits flower to add more dimension.

Macarena played with the resist technique using Picket Fence Distress Paint and several Distress Sprays. She made a mountain scene with Tim Holtz Sizzix Alpine and Merry Moose Thinlits dies.

Maura went pink and feminine with her tag this week, using the Tim Holtz Engraving Layers, Quote Flairs and Mini Flairs, layering them up on the Tim Holtz #8 Etcetera Tag.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using the Stamperia Cosmos Paper on the background and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Odds and Ends Embellishments and Idea-Ology Metallic Sticker Book. 

Sandra made a lots of layers on this card with Typeset Collage Paper, Urban Layers and Texture Paste with the Deco Arch stencil. 

Zoey used a combination of Tim Holtz Idea-ology ENTOMOLOGY Collage Paper and Tim Holtz Idea-ology BACKDROPS VOLUME 1 to create the background of this tag. She then layered bunch of Distress Paint to achieve her background color. The Tim Holtz Sizzix FACETED HEART Thinlits Die was perfect for this tag.
