Use a New/Unused Product

Maybe you have had a product for ages or maybe Santa left you a new crafty gift under the tree! Whatever it is we would love to see it!

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Brutus Monroe. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!

This week we are welcoming the lovely and super talented Anita Rao aka Beads Charms and Wire  into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog you are in for a real treat! Please pop by to say ‘Hi’

Anita took this opportunity to use a recently acquired stencil that she’d not had the chance to use yet. Her art journal spread features Prima Marketing’s Mind Games stencil that she used with modeling paste and various acrylic paints. She also used assorted stamps with Tsukineko Memento Dew Drops Dye Inks for the background. Over this, she used watercolor pencils on strips cut from DCWV paper stacks, and Honey Bee Alphabet stamps for the quote.

Anna-Karin used a new really cool embossing powder from Brutus Monroe, called Blue Frost. The background was done with just this one embossing powder, combined with Distress Ink and the Brutus Monroe Sequin Builder stencil.

Barbara created a small notebook to use to write her creative ideas during the new year. She used Brutus Monroe Icicle Ultra Fine Embossing Powder, for the first time the new Distress Crayons SET 11 which includes Speckled Egg, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Flower Shop, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Memoranda.

Cheiron used a new to her medium, Brutus Monroe Velveteen in Pink Flamingo through the Tim Holtz Hearts stencil along with the Simon Says Stamp Etched Laurel Leaves die. She combined it with Photobooth and a some Snarky Small Talk Stickers to create her mixed media tag.

Emma is welcoming a brand new year with her tag all about hope and she used a new stencil to her stash, Bubbles from Brutus Monroe to create a textured background. To complete the tag, she used the Sizzix Heartbeat Thinlits die from Tim Holtz, enamelled with Icicle Ultrafine Embossing Powder and added golden wings cut using the Winged 3D Impresslits.

Kath has fallen in love with her new Brutus Monroe Gilded/Sterling Sparkle and Alabaster Ultra Fine Embossing powders used with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bold Tidings 1 and Sizzix Alphanumeric Classic Lower Thinlits to create a New Year card with the cute snowman from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Winterscape

Lols  used a new Simon Says Stamp Champagne Flutes Die Set along with some new Brutus Monroe Golden Gourd Embossing Powder and a Stencil Girl Starlight Stencil to make a Happy New Year card.

Macarena used a new Brutus Monroe Gilded Metallic Aqua Pigments and the Tim Holtz Distress Cracked Leather Cardstock. She made an almost spring scene using Tim Holtz Specimen stamp set and Tim Holtz Sizzix Large Stems and Wildflower Stems 1 dies.

Maura made a robot themed mini book perfect for painting and sketching in 2021, with her new Brutus Monroe’s Clank clear stamps, her new Brutus Monroe Turbine stencil, and the Gilded Aqua Pigment from Brutus Monroe.

Meihsia was inspired to create a card using new Brutus Monroe Neon Yellow Aqua Pigment on the background, then heat embossed the image with Brutus Monroe Icicle Ultra Fine Embossing Powder and colored it with Brutus Monroe Pigment Powder .

Sandra used the Chroma Glaze Pearl from Brutus Monroe as her something new, and used Infusions In The NavySleight Blue and Nuvo Shimmer Powder Storm Cloud to add color.

Zoey used a new embossing powder from Brutus Monroe called Marshmellow Puff! She also used a stamp from Tim Holtz that she bought but never used so, it was sorta new too!

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
