This week we are welcoming back the lovely Alison Bomber aka Words and Pictures  into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!

Alison: “It’s a thrill to be back here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, alongside this fabulous team.  I always forget about my embossing folders so this was a great nudge to play with the Leaf 3D Impresslits Cut and Emboss Folder.  The gleaming silver cobweb is hanging between the leaves just waiting to get caught in your hair as you walk by.  Come and visit Words and Pictures to see how it all came together”

Andrea made a scrappy tag book using some of her favorite Tim Holtz stamp sets such as Mini Glitch and Halftone and Rings. The inside is filled with patterned paper from Abandoned and Lost and Found.

Anna-Karin made a vibrant mushroom tag inspired by autumn. The background was dry embossed with Tim Holtz Elegant 3-D Embossing Folder and misted with Distress Spray Stains. The mushrooms and butterfly come from the Field Notes Ephemera set.

Barbara has created an Etcetera tag size Mini that has as star Arthur Colorize Thinlits dies by Tim Holtz. She used for the base of the tag Dina Wakley Ranger Kraft Cardstock, Black Soot Distress Spray Stain, Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Mr Bones, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Classic Kraft Stock.

Cheiron created a dry embossed background using the new Tim Holtz/Sizzix Engraved 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder. She embossed Distress Watercolor cardstock and colored it with Distress Oxide Sprays and Distress Mica Spray and added a Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stunning Snowflake and a sentiment from the Stampers Anonymous Scenic Holiday Set.

Kath created a card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Poinsettia 3D Texture Fade. The beautiful elegant embossed panel is so detailed and dimensional, it required minimal decoration to become a festive delight, a little stamping in the background using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Dearly Departed and Idea-ology Christmas Label Tape for the sentiment

Lols made a card using a Tim Holtz Texture Fades Embossing Folder, a Retro Type Bigz Die and a Tiny Type Lower Thinlits Die Set along with Distress Oxide Inks and Sprays.

Macarena made a vintage card with a beautiful scarab from Tim Holtz Specimen stamps set as her focal point. The backgrounds were dry embossed using Tim Holtz Script stencil.

Maura dry embossed her card using the Simon Says Stamp Floating Leaves stencil from the STAMPtember release. She added in some Tim Holtz Fall Foliage die cuts and a bit of distress ink like Crackling Campfire, then added shimmer with Tim Holtz Mica Spray.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media Halloween tag using Tim Holtz Sizzix Lumber 3D Fades Embossing Folder on the background and decorated it with Tim Holtz Geo Halloween Thinlits Dies and Idea-Ology Skulls and Pumpkins.

Sandra made simple Halloween card using the Brickwork 3D Embossing folder. She created a brick wall with pictures of creepy people from the Curiosities Stickerbook and Halloween Paper dolls.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
