We have 5 artists in the Designer Spotlight for the Recycle Challenge!
#14 Kitty Tatman – Sandra says: This ATC is amazing, it’s full of layers that gives so much depth to it, the doodling gives it such a fabulous touch, and the creepy girl is fantastic!
#33 Dasa – Maura says: I have to give a shout out to the students in Dosa’s class who created these awesome key holders out of recycled wood and cardboard! They made little village scenes, that are so unique and adorable…kids are such great recyclers! Kudos to the teacher too for this wonderful project idea!
#42 Art Daily Cafe – Maura says: Sabrina has created a totally recycled, rusty piece of art called the Poetry of Decay. I think her piece is perfectly named, as she has incorporated things like old spark plugs, paint tubes, cartons, as well as gears, and then rusted it up with an awesome texture. Very imaginative recycled bits here.
#57 Cassie Lynch – Barbara says: Cassie has interpreted the Christmas spirit perfectly! The vintage style of her projects is always wonderful and this 3D work is fabulous. I love how she transformed the little snowman and how she recycled a small box to give it a new life! I also love the Christmas tree with the Mica Flakes that give a wonderful touch of light and as you know I love paper Dolls!
#59 Experiments in Craft – Maura says: (Again…I know…i can’t help myself, there are so many imaginative recycling projects here) Christine has used some typical recycling items on her lovely card, like cardboard, but what really caught my eye is the gorgeous lace she used. She took some of the lace from her sister’s wedding dress and layered it in with the flourishes…what a great idea!
