Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Stars and Stripes Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week we are inviting you to 

MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Paper Artsy. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! This week we are welcoming the lovely Kerstin aka Scrapbook Dreams into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!

Kerstin was inspired to create a maritim cover for a mixed media sea album. She used  Paper Artsy RUSTING POWDER , Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray WALNUT STAIN Ranger and some Dina Wakley Ranger Media Acrylic Paints.

Andrea made a tag using Paper Artsy stamped images in the background and in the forefront.  She used Paper Artsy stamp sets EEA04 and EKD02 and used Strathmore Mixed Media Black paper as the base.

Anna-Karin made a nautical tag this week, using scraps of Paper Artsy Infusions colored papers to create the background. She used the gorgeous Eclectica3 Scrapcosy 11 stamp set for the stamping.

Barbara had much fun to create backgrounds for her trio of tags with Paper Artsy Infusions! She used Sizzix Tim Holtz Geo InsectsSizzix Tim Holtz Geo SpringtimeTim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Layering stencil SplotchesIdea-ology Quote Chips paperievarious  Tim Holtz Ranger Distress InksIdea-ology Small talk. 

Cheiron created a card with the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Botanical Sketch stamp, colored in with Distress Inks and Oxides. The sentiment was embossed with gold embossing powder and the card was completed by adding Paper Artsy Fresco Finish Old Gold Metallic Paint for details and edging.

Emma created an art panel using PaperArtsy Infusions to add a splash of colour to her background, which she mounted on a canvas panel that she painted with PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Paints. To complete the panel she added Tim Holtz’s Faceted Heart and a Paper Doll.

Kath created the backgrounds for her Idea-ology Snarky Sticker cards using PaperArtsy Infusions and Fresco Finish Chalk Paints with Tim Holtz Layering Stencils. With such colourful and busy backgrounds, she kept the decoration simple, adding white Tim Holtz/Sizzix Wildflower Stems 1 Thinlits die-cuts and Simon Says Stamp Script Hello die-cut sentiments.

Lols made a card using  Zini 35 and a Jofy 19 Cling Stamps, she also used Slime and Royal Blood Infusions for the background

Macarena made a very textured 3D card using lots of Paper Artsy Infusions for her background and the Simon Says Stamp Triangle Blast stencil. She added Tim Holtz Sizzix Large Stems and Tattered Butterfly dies. 

Maura and the Efilumps from Paper Artsy, Zinski 36 and Zinski 38  romped around on the pages of her art journal, playing in the beautiful chalk acrylic colors like Venice Blue, Pansy and Spanish Mulberry.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using modeling Prima Marketing Modeling Paste over Paper Artsy Eclectica 3 Tracy Scott Stencil for the texture on the background. 

Sandra made her Paper Artsy Background using Frankly ScraletLemoncello and Sunset Beach Infusions along with Opal Magic Paint Yellow-Pink and Rose Gold.
