MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND
As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Paper Artsy. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!
Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details of how we made these creations and leave these wonderful girls some comment love
This week we are welcoming the lovely Kerstin aka Scrapbook Dreams into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!
Kerstin was inspired to create a maritim cover for a mixed media sea album. She used Paper Artsy RUSTING POWDER , Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray WALNUT STAIN Ranger and some Dina Wakley Ranger Media Acrylic Paints.
Barbara had much fun to create backgrounds for her trio of tags with Paper Artsy Infusions! She used Sizzix Tim Holtz Geo Insects, Sizzix Tim Holtz Geo Springtime, Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Layering stencil Splotches, Idea-ology Quote Chips paperie, various Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Inks, Idea-ology Small talk.
Cheiron created a card with the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Botanical Sketch stamp, colored in with Distress Inks and Oxides. The sentiment was embossed with gold embossing powder and the card was completed by adding Paper Artsy Fresco Finish Old Gold Metallic Paint for details and edging.
Emma created an art panel using PaperArtsy Infusions to add a splash of colour to her background, which she mounted on a canvas panel that she painted with PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Paints. To complete the panel she added Tim Holtz’s Faceted Heart and a Paper Doll.
Kath created the backgrounds for her Idea-ology Snarky Sticker cards using PaperArtsy Infusions and Fresco Finish Chalk Paints with Tim Holtz Layering Stencils. With such colourful and busy backgrounds, she kept the decoration simple, adding white Tim Holtz/Sizzix Wildflower Stems 1 Thinlits die-cuts and Simon Says Stamp Script Hello die-cut sentiments.
Macarena made a very textured 3D card using lots of Paper Artsy Infusions for her background and the Simon Says Stamp Triangle Blast stencil. She added Tim Holtz Sizzix Large Stems and Tattered Butterfly dies.
Maura and the Efilumps from Paper Artsy, Zinski 36 and Zinski 38 romped around on the pages of her art journal, playing in the beautiful chalk acrylic colors like Venice Blue, Pansy and Spanish Mulberry.
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
