It’s Simona’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)
Simona made 2 Tags experimenting with various embossing techniques using Mini Distress Embossing ink, Ranger ‘Clear’ Embossing Powder, Distress Embossing Glaze Salvaged Patina, Tim Holtz Sizzix 3D Texture Fades Embossing folder ‘Numbered’ and 3D Impresslits cut and emboss folder ‘Winged’

Andrea did some heat embossing on her card (using embossing pens, a heating tool and black embossing powder) to make certain elements pop. She used Seth Apter’s Paper Cutz Die Set and his Twisters Die Set for the focal elements. The card is a tag folded in half that was cut from Simon Says Stamp’s Luggage Tag Die Set.

Anna-Karin made an Easter card with a white embossed background. The intricate background stamp is from Tim Holtz Rosette and Floret. The background was misted with Distress Spray Mists and Twisted Citron Distress Spritz. The sentiment is die cut with Simon Says Stamp Bouncy Happy Easter.

Barbara chose a spring palette to create two tags! For the backgrounds, she chose the Tim Holtz Sizzix ROSES Embossing Folder and the Deco Feather stencil by Stampers Anonymous. To complete the Easter tag, she chose a small bunny from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Clear Stamps and Stencils Spring Shadows, Gingham, and Dotted Line set, adding texture with Ranger Ink embossing powder, Vintage Pearl. For the spring tag, she chose a little bird from the Sizzix Silhouette Birds Thinlits Dies.

Cheiron created a sparkly Thank You card using Simon Says Stamp Assorted Holographic cardstock and the Shimmering Starfall Embossing Folder. She finshed her card with the CZ Design Thank You wafter die as a sentiment and added a few die cut stars from the Stars dies.

Emma used the Sizzix Botanical 3D Embossing Folder by Tim Holtz to create the background on a Stampers Anonymous Etcetera Facade, which is layered onto a Mini Etcetera Tag. For the focal point of her project she stamped, watercolored and then die cut Mr Rabbit using the Tim Holtz/Simon Says Stamp die and stamp bundle before adding die cut foliage and florals.

Kath used Simon Says Stamp Confetti Butterflies Embossing Folder to create the background, Sizzix Studio Wild Blooms Clear Stamp Set coloured with Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Embossing Glazes, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Handwritten Love Thinlits and Idea-ology Sentiments Label Stickers for the sentiment.

Macarena used Tim Holtz Sizzix Numbered 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder and applied Tim Holtz Flip Top Black Soot Distress Paint to make the texture pop. The stitched heart is made with Tim Holtz Sizzix Lovestruck Colorize die.

Maura made a fluffle of bunny cards using the Simon Says Stamp Fresh Daisies Embossing Folder, Tim Holtz’s Mr. Rabbit stamps, and Simon Says Stamp Hoppy Days Ahead stamps.

Meihsia was inspired to create an Easter card using CZ Design Clear Stamps Easter Grid cz3102c Beautiful Moments on the background, colored it with Copic SKETCH 72 PC SET B Markers and heat embossed the images with Gina K Designs FINE DETAIL CLEAR Embossing Powder.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Blooms Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to:
LET’S ART JOURNAL
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! Simona made a double spread in her journal using Dina Wakley Media Focals set 2 Transparencies, Acrylic paint Minty, Lime and Papaya, Tim Holtz cling rubber stamps ‘Way with Words’ and ‘Faded Type’, AALL & Create Lotza Plusez 6X6 stencil and ‘Artist Kit’ A6 clear stamps

Andrea made a small art journal using scraps from Amy Tangerine’s Paper Play book and Dina Wakley’s Collage Sparks 1 and 3. She added patterns using Tim Holtz’s Mixed Media 2 and Seth Apter’s ESA35 stamp sets. She added color with Distress Crayons and watercolors.

Anna-Karin made an art journal page with some wise words. The words were die cut with Tim Holtz Sizzix Handwritten Journey and Handwritten Celebrate. The picture wheels were die cut with Tim’s Vault Picture Show from Ranger Heavystock paper and Simon Says Stamp Acetate Sheets.

Barbara created a page for her Art Journal inspired by the sun and spring colors. For the background, she chose an 8 x 8 sheet from Stamperia Daisy Art pad. She used a stamp by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous, Embroidery CMS486, matched with a Simon Says Stamp Wafer Dies. She chose Ranger Ink Distress Ink Pad Mini to color her page. In the center, a photo from Idea-ology Snapshots Volume 2.

Cheiron created a page in her art journal using her palette of Distress Watercolor Pencil shavings as her first layer. She added stamps from the Tim Holtz Mini Media Marks and Tidbits sets. She added Dina Wakley Typed Ledgers quote and a Paint By Number stamp as the focal points on her page.

Kath created a page in her Stamperia Stone Paper Mixed Media Journal to celebrate the arrival of Spring using Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Yellow Palette Collection paper, Simon Says Stamp Petal Lattice Stencil, images from Simon Says Stamp A Little Artsy stamp set, Simon Says Stamp A Little Artsy Stencils and Masks and Tim Holtz/Sizzix Handwritten Celebrate and Alphanumeric Shadow Upper Thinlits.

Macarena can’t wait for the Spring to come and explode in full bloom so she made an Art Journal page in search of Spring using Stamperia Create Happiness Secret Diary Selection of 5 Rice Papers as her background which she completed with AALL & Create Fly Around A5 Rub-Ons. The sentiment was cut out with Tim Holtz Sizzix Alphanumeric Cutout Lower die set.

Maura has been thinking of Spring, especially since it has been a long, snowy winter. She created a background of images and tied them together with the Simon Says Stamp Grid stencil. Since she went with a black and white background, she added bright flowers and ferns with Tracy Evans Beauty Surrounds Us stamps and Simple Stories Vintage Woodlands stamps..

Meihsia was inspired to create an art journal page using Stamperia Family Patchwork Stencil on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz idea-ology Layers Photo Studio and Tim Holtz idea-ology Paper Dolls Mini.

Zoey made this art journal spread using Distress Paint and Distress Spritz to add some shine. She also used Textured Paste through stencil and ideaology items as decoration.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
