Alison : There are three stencils in action in Alison’s tag trio – Autumn and Ornate by Tim Holtz and her own Grassy stencil from PaperArtsy.  The autumnal colours are Distress Inks with a hint of Rusty Car Infusions.  Stamping detail in the leafy background comes from the Field Notes and Professor 2 sets.  Alison used the Ornate stencil to create some decorative tapes which add a lovely touch of contrasting blue, echoed by some Uncharted Mariner inking.  And some minimal collaging with Idea-ology PhotoboothFilm Strip RibbonCurator LabelsSnippets Number Strips and Small Talk Stickers allows those background layers to shine.

Andrea used stencils from Tim Holtz (THMM182 and THMM113) and Kate Crane (PS483) for her card. The card and all the die-cut shapes are from AALL & Create’s Retro Numbers die set. She finished it off with a sentiment from Dina Wakley’s Ledger 2 paper set.

Anna-Karin made an autumn card using Simon Says Stamp Tumbling Leaves and Tim Holtz Bubble stencils. The large sentiment was die cut with Simon Says Stamp Capital B Beautiful die and the sticker is from Tim Holtz idea-ology Metallic Sticker Book.

Barbara created two tags using several Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stencils: Bones and Batty from Mini Set 61, Deco Arch, and Script from Mini Set 23. In the center, she used two portraits from the Idea-ology 2025 Halloween Layers and Paper Dolls pack. She used some Ranger Ink Distress Spray Stain in traditional Halloween colors.

Cheiron created a tag with tons of Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Stencils including the Mini Stencil Set 33 and the Mini Stencil Set and Mini Stencil Set 55. She added a sentiment from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Note Quotes set, and then finished her tag with leaves from the Simon Says Stamp Rose Branch Wafer dies.

Kath created a card with an Autumnal feel using Simon Says Stamp Red Maple set of layering stencils and Red Maple Wafer dies from the Give Thanks November Card Kit along with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mini Layering Stencils from Set 48.

Macarena made a cute tag using two stencils on the background: Simon Says Stamp Bold Geometrics and The Crafter’s Workshop Hole Punch. She colored and fussy cut the cute bird from Papert Artsy Kate Crane KC009 stamp set and added her favorite greenery from Paper Artsy Kate Crane Mini Stamp KCM013.

Maura made a Halloween tag using Dina Wakley Media Tags, Simon Says Stamp Grid Stencil, Tim Holtz Harlequin stencil, and the Tim Holtz Mischievous Cats dies.

Meihsia was inspired to create a tag using Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 26 on the background, and colored it with Tim Holtz Distress 12 Oxide Sprays Bundle 3 and decorated it with Tim Holtz idea-ology Paper Dolls Mini.

Zoey used her favorite Tim Holtz Layering Stencils for her background. She then added Distress Spray Stain, Distress Ink and embellished her tag with a Photo Portrait, stickers and bits of Ideaology.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!

Alison – a.k.a. Words and Pictures – always has words involved in her projects, so for this theme she decided to add text in as many layers and elements as she could on these large panels!  That starts with the book page in the background, goes via the Tim Holtz A5 Typewriter Embossing Folder created with Black Kraft Stock card, sanded for a distressed look.  The sunrise/sunset tags are made with Alison’s Printed Tissue from PaperArtsy – focusing on one of the text elements rather than the botanicals – with layers of PaperArtsy Mattints brushed on to create a glowing ombre effect.  Some Idea-ology Quote Chips provide the final added text, with seedheads from the garden for dimension, and some Hinge Clips adding a touch of metal detailing.

Andrea made a Halloween card using Whimsy Stamps’ Potion Bottle Dies and Potion Labels Stamp Set. She added some text to the background using Tim Holtz’s Halloween Sketchbook Stamp Set and those great quirky edges are from AALL & Create’s Numberama Dies.

Anna-Karin made a wintery birthday card this week, using Simon Says Stamp Cool Birthday set from the new Sugar & Spice release. The large word in the sky comes from Simon Says Stamp Love Letter. The background was white embossed with an alphabet stamp from Tim Holtz School Desk.

Barbara created a tag using the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Wicked Hipster CMS439 set for the centerpiece. She added the text using another set by Stampers Anonymous Rest In Peace CMS435. For the background, she used the Tim Holtz Stencil Plus in the mini version (set1) along with Ranger Ink Distress Crayon Ominous Twilight.

Cheiron created a background using the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Tiny Text stamps. She added texture paste through the Brush Arch stencil and sprayed her panel with Distress Mica Stains. She added the Simon Says Stamp Curled Fern Fronds and finished her card with a sentiment from the CZ Designs Thank You Basics.

Kath created Halloween Tag cards using Distress Mixed Media HeavyStock #8 Tags, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mini Layering Stencils from Sets 23 and 49 and sentiments from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Spooky Spirits to add text to the background and Tim Holtz/Sizzix Haunted House and Frightful Things Thinlits die-cuts.

Macarena made a layered card using some text from both Tim Holtz Field Notes stamps set and Hero Arts White Collage Backgrounds Part 2 Hero Transfer Rub Ons. For the focal point she used Brutus Monroe Bookworm Creative Cards.

Maura is ready for an adventure in her art journal this week. She added text with Simon Says Stamp’s Friendship Text Backgroudn stamp, Tim Holtz’s Small Talk stickers, and added layers with Tim Holtz Collage Paper Archives and Simple Stories Woodlands paper

Meihsia was inspired to create a birthday card using AALL & Create Woof It Up A7 Clear Stamps on the background, and colored it with Copic SKETCH 72 PC SET C Markers and added the sentiment text with Simon Says Stamps and Dies Birthday Love.

Zoey used Tim Holtz Sizzix Alphanumeric Cutout Lower to add some text in her background, she then added pieces of collage paper and Ranger Ink Dina Wakley Paint mixed with Distress Oxide ink to add color.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
